For about 12 dollars I purchased these to practice quilting with layer cake sized precuts and they are much better in color and quality than I expected. I thought I would get some cuts with strange patterns and garish colors along with a lower quality weave. But, I got a bundle that I can use almost entirely. I will purchase another set!

My overall opinion is that it's just ok. The squares are not great quality, but they are not the worst either. They all measure just under 10 in so that's definitely something to keep in mind when quilting. Two of the squares were baby prints that conveniently don't show up in any of the photos, leaving me with 28, not 30 squares as I am not making a baby quilt. The fabric feels very silky and has a sheen to it, very unlike cotton. It is not sheer and will likely work for quilting, but it's very hard to tell until the quilt is made, washed and dried. The fabric would definitely work for craft projects or things other than quilting, but I would not purchase again.

The fabric is nice, prints are nice. No repeats. However they are not 10x10. If I would have purchased to make a quilt that needed 10x10 squares I would have returned these. Luckily I was making bowl cozy’s so I could deal with smaller squares.

You have to read the details, it is a 30 piece layer cake. That is perfectly fine for the price and I am happy with it as a beginner quilter, yay for play fabric!
