I have a lot of different specialty fabrics that I have used over time to make all sorts of different outfits and items. When I saw this, I was hoping it was the better quality weave than some of the others that I have worked with. HOW THIS COMES This comes in a plastic bag which is sealed up well so if your package is left in the rain it is protected. WEAVE Some fabrics of this nature are a looser weave and they tend to shift and be harder to work with. The crumple easily and they don't have a good flow for using in clothing or other items. The best weave has a solid feel to it and it has body. It holds up to gathering, tucks, and layering very well. This fabric is the best weave. COLORS The colors are beautiful. They are subtle but strong at the same time. They show up and shift as the fabric moves in the light. At the same time the fabric is see through. It has a white base, but in a single layer by itself it is translucent. NEEDLES The needles used with this need to be new and not used previously. This fabric will dull the needles quickly and dull needles will lead to sewing issues including skipped stitches and pulls in the fabric as you sew. After using for this fabric keep an eye on the needles with future projects as they will most likely have to be changed out again. FINISH This is best with the following seam finishes. You have to finish the seams as they will fray easily. -French seams- enclosed seams so the edges don't show or prick you. -serging with wooly nylon or other soft threads -flat felled seams -narrow seams with edges zigzagged together over the edge to hold them together and keep them from fraying. USES You can use these for -special event clothing -curtains -valance -layering on clothing or coats as a top layer for effect -trim or bindings on white or light clothing THE BOTTOM LINE This is beautiful fabric. As long as you finish the seams well, it will perform the best in this style of fabrics. MY RATING FIVE STARS. I love this fabric and am not sure how I will end up using it. I know that it will hold up pretty well so I have a bit more freedom in what I choose to do with it.

This organza is white, but let it flow and it shimmers with greens and yellows - a cool effect! With 11 full yards and 59" selvage to selvage (57.5" between selvages), there's enough fabric to make a wedding dress. It has minimal stretch on the bias only. My plan for this is to try my hand at making a prom or wedding dress with it - a new skill to develop. I'm looking forward to the challenge, and this fabric is exactly what I need to succeed.

Nice fabric, very transparent, beautiful shimmer of iridescent colors, and whatever you sew it onto will easily be seen underneath. It cut cleanly and easily with a rotary cutter and didn’t fray along the cut edges. It is such a non bulky fabric that at first I thought there was less fabric than I ordered, but after I measured it, it was the correct yardage. This shows me that it can be stored easily until needed without taking up a lot of space. (As a fabric enthusiast this is important.) I’m looking forward to creating something fun and whimsical with it. Recommended!

This fabric is an absolutely gorgeous organza! The purple iridescent sheen is incredibly satisfying, and the fabric has a nice hand and holds its shape well. We bought this fabric to be part of a faerie costume, but it would honestly do just as well as part of a formal dress or bridal gown. The cut we received was a true five yards, which gives us a good amount of play, as we are using the fabric as an accent panel.

This organza is gorgeous!!! It's sheer, yet picks up the light and shimmers with blues, greens, and yellows. There is very slight stretch on the bias. Edge to edge, it measures 60 inches, with 58 inches between selvages. Total length of the piece I received measures 3 yards + 1 inch (109 inches total). I can see using this on costumes, masks, a tutu, or to liven up a handbag or clothing. I also envision it on formalwear, like a prom dress to make it more elegant.
