** Updated: replacement product is fine, it installs correctly and works well. No complaints. This looks like a nice package, but mine arrived completely crushed and unusable. Probably a logistics problem rather than the fault of the brand, so I'll update this if/when I get a replacement. Not sure how big the value-add of the included tools is, since anyone that's going to do an HDMI replacement on a PS5 is going to need, at minimum, a hot-air soldering station, preferably a microscope, and some skill in soldering, and such a person probably already has a screwdriver and a tweezers. I personally would rather see a couple extra HDMI ports in the package instead of a bunch of stuff that's going to get tossed in my already-overcrowded junk drawer, but to each their own. Installing HDMI ports in a PS5 is not a particularly easy process, involving a more or less complete teardown of the console, some degree of care to avoid getting the liquid-metal thermal material into places it doesn't belong, and moderate to advanced soldering skills. There are some YouTubers doing it with a bottle of flux and a walmart heat gun. As a professional technician, I've seen the results of that, and quite often it's not pretty. If you try it yourself and make a mess, you're going to end up with at best a far more expensive professional repair, and at worst a dead PS5.

I ordered these components to replace the HDMI ports on my 100" flat screen television. They were dimensionally compatible and the accompanying tools, despite being low-cost, proved useful. While I possess a professional toolkit that offers superior quality and performance, the included tools are adequate for the task at hand. However, it is important to note that the kit does not contain all the necessary tools. For first-time users, I recommend having a heating element, such as a heat gun or soldering iron, along with soldering flux, to facilitate the removal of the old HDMI ports. Additionally, an ESD mat and wrist strap should be used for safety. Post-replacement, the HDMI ports function flawlessly with no operational issues. I would highly endorse this product.

This kit was exactly what I needed to replace the HDMI port on my PS5 after it got damaged. I've been repairing PS5s for a while now since I have all the tools and thought I'd take a look at these HDMI jacks. For as much as I can tell, they're entirely comparable to OEM replacements at a fraction of the cost. They function as good as new without any problems with the sockets being too loose, etc. The included tools are inexpensive, but really nice to have after the fact in any electronics tool kit. Replaced my nephew's HDMI port in about an hour without too much problem. Just have to make sure that you don't get solder bridges between the pin pads.

Ports are of good quality but the tools are really basic. The real need I had was for the ports themselves. They work fine and I was successfully able to replace the port on my console. With that said, the tools that are included are really basic. I would say they are bare-bones in that capacity. PLEASE NOTE: you will need a hot air station AND a soldering iron (with flux, solder, etc) to complete this. This is. only part of the repair pieces necessary. It would also be beneficial to have a good amount of practice. You can do some real permanent damage trying to change this port without some level of skills attained. Overall an ok set.
