What a fun summer project for kids. This is a simple woodworking project that requires no tools. Simply pop out the laser-cut pieces and follow the simple construction instructions! The wood is strong enough not to break when pressure is applied and the designs hold together well. Woodglue could be used to ensure long-term stability for the structures. The "bird" version of the house was the most difficult to put together and may require some adult assistance. Otherwise, our children, ages 6/10/and 12, were able to build and paint these bird houses easily. The paint included has bold colors that really stand out and each house comes with its own paint set, so no sharing is needed. However, there may not be enough paint to cover each entire house. Be sure to have extra paint on hand if you are concerned about this. The twine included to hang the houses is thick and strong. We highly recommend this birdhouse building set for art class, parties, or a fun summer activity. Plan to set aside 30-45 mins to build this with children.

Adorable and fun craft! I got these birdhouses as a non-electronic activity for my six and eight year olds and I to do together. It's a pretty solid craft! It comes with literally everything you need (except for a cup of water for brushes). The instructions are super easy to figure out, and the birdhouses themselves are pretty well made. I would note - putting the birdhouses together does take a little bit of time, and if your kids are staring at you anxiously holding paintbrushes, it can get uncomfortable quick. If your kids aren't old enough to help you assemble, I'd recommend taking the time to put the birdhouses together *before* your kids are in the room. Overall, this is a fun, cute, and EASY project to do with kids!

The paint that comes with this requires multiple coats as it is pretty thin. My little one had some issues when it came to assembling the bird houses so it will definitely require some adult participation. Overall it was a fun little crafting activity for the family. It would be a nice gift for the 8-10 age range, especially if they still like working on things together.

These DIY birdhouses were such a hit with my kids! I love that it comes with everything you need to build and decorate three different houses—no extra trips to the craft store, just open the box and go. Each of my kids got to make one that felt totally their own, and they had a blast painting and putting them together. What made it even more special is that one of the houses already has something starting to build a nest in it! The kids were so excited to see that their little project was actually being used. It’s the perfect mix of creative fun and learning about nature. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a hands-on activity that keeps kids engaged and proud of what they made.

These are so much fun to build, they're easy for an adult to put together, but might be challenging for little hands. They snap together sturdy and are a great size. Would make a great gift for a kids to paint and give to a family member. There are 3 so the cost is amazing!

My 5 year old granddaughter loved putting these together and painting them! They aren't really outside material, but we put one in a low hanging tree anyway because she wanted to. Now she checks it every day to see if there are any birds in it! Love how everything comes with the kit; paint, brushes, string, wire for the wind chimes, etc. It's an all in one! Such a great way to spend time together away from electronics!

Such a fun and creative kit! I got this for my niece and she had an absolute blast building and painting all three birdhouses with her cousins. The pieces fit together easily — no glue or tools needed — which made the whole experience frustration-free.
