These are very well made 3-in casters. The wheel hubs are attached via an axle through a robust stainless steel carriage frame. The wheels roll silently and the polyurethane rubber on the wheels makes them absolutely silent. There are two fixed casters and two swivel casters. That arrangement makes it much easier to push an object in a straight line across floors. If you use four swivel casters it's a little more difficult to keep the object rolling in a straight line. The top swivel has some robust bearings for easy smooth operation. The attachment plate is pre-drilled and as robust as the other components. Each wheel will support 250 lbs, so using four of these on a bench or other object will support 1,000 lb. I can tell looking at the construction that these things can easily support that weight they are well made of high quality material. There are 16 wood screws and washers included, however, depending on what you want to attach these to, you may want to use conventional machine bolts, nuts and lock washers which you'll have to source independently. But for many types of wooden furniture or benches and whatnot the screws that are included may be the best attachment. The screws look to be about 1 and 1/4 inches long and they have a rounded cap head which accepts a Philips driver. The rounded cap head will make a nice finished look against the base plates, however, not many people will see that attachment unless they're laying on the floor and looking specifically at the underside of the casters, but you'll know that they look great and they're very robust. It would be an advantage if either the swivel or fixed casters included a brake mechanism. These have no built-in brake mechanism so if you attach them to a workbench realize the workbench may try and walk away if you push on it hard enough trying to do some work on the top surface. In many cases I never use the brakes because I have casters on various objects and furniture that is moved frequently and it's a pain to operate the brakes all the time, but if you're going to put it on something that's not going to move often or you need it to be rigid it would be better to have a brake. I can certainly forgive the absence of a break mechanism as these cost $23 for a set of four casters, very robust and well made, with excellent weight capacity, smooth and silent operation, and polyurethane wheels that will not mar hardwood or other indoor flooring surfaces. These are quite a decent value given their capacity and construction at that price.

...available space. Casters like these are excellent for that purpose. Sturdiness: excellent. Roll smoothness: excellent on generally clean, smooth concrete floors with moderate loads. I usually use 4 inch or 5 inch casters for heavy loads, or when the casters may encounter small floor obstacles or workshop debris. Ease of installation: excellent on the bottom of flat plates. Some items of shop equipment may have integrated provisions for stem casters instead, and it makes sense to obtain the type that will most easily be installed. Lockability: a useful feature for saws, planers and similar equipment where you may want to push the work-stock into the machine; or for locations where a floor has a slight slope toward a floor drain, for instance. Casters like these are very easily locked. The primary concerns are that you need to visually check lock-status before moving an item (which suggests only putting locks on more visible, more easily foot-accessed front corners), and the locks sticking out of the caster body tend to snag on other casters, impairing mobility. In that regard, side-tab caster locks snag much more often than caster locks that project out over the tire, in line with the supported object's motion axis.

These 3-inch caster wheels are seriously durable. I installed them on a heavy workbench, and they’ve handled the weight like champs—no flex, no squeak, no wobble. The polyurethane rolls smooth and quiet, even across concrete, and they don’t leave marks. The swivel action is tight and responsive, making it easy to maneuver even with a full load. I’ve used them in the garage, under a CNC stand, and even on a tool cart that gets dragged around daily. They hold up without complaint. If you need reliable wheels that can take a beating and still glide like butter, this set delivers. Highly recommend for any workshop or DIY setup.

Ok quality for light duty. The bracket and everything are good. There is play in the wheel where the bolt goes through the wheel. The bolt is too small in diameter. I definitely would not trust these for the 250lbs a piece and 1000lbs for a set of four. Easy to install and rolls fairly smoothly. At most, I would say good for light duty and occasional moving, not every day use.

This is working out well for my planter. I had to add a bridge under each end to attach the wheels but that did the trick. The orange wheels are a hard plastic and are thick so if they get worn, it's alright. The rest is all heavy duty metal and tough all around. The ones with brakes allow for keeping the planter in place so I'm not worried about it rolling over. They would be great for something with a wide base that you need to put together. With my planter being tall, it's a bit of a balancing act.
