This is a non magnetic stainless steel. The polish is very good. There are some lumps in the elbows, not enough to effect performance. The thickness is not .062 inch it is thinner. It TIG welds well. I would not use this on a show car but it is hard to beat for the price.

I have spent a lot of time and money on my current project 70 Fastback with a 7.3 Godzilla. The headers are 304 Stainless and I wanted the exhaust to be the same quality. This tubing kit is real 304 stainless non magnetic. It yes, it comes polished! Unlike some of the other cheaper kits that say they are stainless but are 409 or lesser grade and come unpolished.
