This was my third purchase, but different brand. This one works! The others immediately turned off. I'm glad that I didn't give up on my Dyson v6.

Easy to install and runs flawlessly on my Makita 18v. Run time is much larger now that I can use a 4.0/5.0ah battery. I can actually vacuum my whole first floor without stopping to recharge. Dyson does not put good batteries in OEM (2100mah =2.1ah) or their run time would be better and battery's would last longer. We went through 3x oem batteries before this adapter. I've recharged my makita batteries 100's if not 1000's of times and never had failure like Dyson batteries. It seems to have better suction as well. Ability to swap batteries also give you unlimited run time if you have a couple batteries. I wish dysons canister was bigger so I didn't have to empty so often. Lastly I'd rather have one battery system running all my tools instead of expensive dedicated singular system batteries. If I have to replace a battery at least it will work with 10 different tools for what I have to pay.

The media could not be loaded. Its easy to install on a V6,. You have to remove 2 screws to remove the Dyson OEM battery. After that the unit just clicks into place and can handle a 18v milwaukee battery without an issue. See video for installation directions.
