I just received this in the mail. I haven't gotten to use it yet. Kind of cheap and flimsy feeling. They're made of metal with plastic grips on the handles. Fully open is about 5¼ inches. They're light weight. I got these to hold fish while removing crankbaits with treble hooks. They should work for crappie. I wouldn't try to hold a big, strong fish with them. Perfect size fish grabbers for small fish. It’s easy to use my four year-old figured it out within the first couple minutes. I would say this is definitely a good buy and you get your money’s worth. Your functions as well as a fish grabber would.

This was an impulse purchase and it was a good one. Very sturdy fish holder, large enough to hold a good size fish (as if we ever actually catch one, that is). Easy to use with good grips. Good addition to a fishing tackle box.
