    • Be better if it had a swappable tinted face shield

Great helmet all around, honestly. I just wish it came with a tinted face shield you could swap over in sunny weather. But besides that, it fits my head snuggly. I have to place it on my head with a bit of a tilt to clear my ears first, or else if I just put it straight onto my head, my ears will fold, and I have to reach in and unfold them. With or without my full-face mask it fits on my head perfectly and snug. The shield really covers quite a bit of my upper face with little chance of intrusion. My favorite thing is how quietly the wind passes my head. I have another similar helmet and just something about the shape of it generates a ton of wind noise, not this helmet. This helmet is significantly quieter to ride with, even on windy days and even in the rain. Haven't had it long and have already put that to the test. The only thing I don't love about it I also love about it... strangely. The ear covers, as I previously mentioned, makes it a little difficult to install on your head, but also, makes the overall size of the helmet rather wide, looks a bit silly in my opinion. But of course, if you fall, a silly looking helmet no longer matters, and I do feel this helmet will protect you well in a fall. ... show more

    • Great Helmet, But the Sizing Guide Seems to be Off

This is a well-made and high quality helmet at a fair price. The inside, visor, and chinstrap are all well designed. I used the sizing guide and I'm slightly disappointed in the fit. It definitely has the retro 3/4 look and feel that I like. The inside material is very comfortable and allows air movement underneath. The shell, visor, and function of the chinstrap are all very good. If you can get one that fits you well then I think these are a great product. My only issue with the helmet is that I ordered the L based off what the sizing guide told me. My measurement of 23" should have put me solidly in the L size range, but the large helmet it a little looser than I would like. I'll have to leave my hair a little long or wear a thick dew rag in order for this to fit properly. I believe with a Medium size I could probably keep my hear very short and still squeeze in with a nice fit. The clear visor works smoothly, although a slightly darker tint would be better. It comes with a pretty nice carry bag and is pretty lightweight. If you can get one that fits comfortably then at about $60 I think these are a great value. ... show more

Before I start saying how nice this is, it runs large. I'm a pretty solid M when it comes to helmets, and know I'm safe with every brand I've ever tried with a M. M/S, maybe, M/L no. M?, yes. Always a comfortable fit. This helmet is more of a M/L. Just something to keep in mind. I think I could have pulled a S off with this. On to the helmet, and why I think it's worth a 5. Well, for starters the price. Its very affordable, with DOT certs (must have). Then there's the quality, which is not outstanding on it's own, but for the price it's more than expected. The adjustable chinstrap with quick release is comfortable and easy to use, and the shield is very functionable and is sturdy. The optics are also very good. I'm not sure about how well it will hold up to scratches, or if I'll have problems with replacements but I'll cross that road when I get to it. Another thing of note, is the finish. Its a nice gloss black with no blemishes or flaws. Over all it's a worthy helmet and will be my easy riding lid. ... show more

Crazy how this is such a good helmet for the price. Got in my usual xxl size having a 23” circumference round head and this fit perfectly. Very nice color to it with it being slightly close to Harley’s new blue gray color. Very lightweight and doesn’t get heavy or bulky at all. Loved the easiness of the chin strap with it being a ratchet style buckle instead of a loop kind, makes it easy to buckle and unbuckle. The visor is big so I can wear my sunglasses under it and it doesn’t come close to being in the way. Doesn’t have air vents so it does get a bit warm. ... show more

This helmet fits perfect, I like it slightly loose so when I add a do-rag underneath it, it is snug without being too tight. This helmet seems to be really ventilated, it doesn't make your head sweat too much like the full face and some half face. I like the eye shields that are made to it also. A lot of states require eye protection also. (I always wear it anyway) I don't have to wear glasses with the helmet like I do with my half helmets. The eye shields do catch a good bit of air if I raise up above the windshield envelope of air, but I ride with them down most of the time anyway, I raised them up to see how they did for the review. It feels good, it's DOT certified, it's not hot on your head and I like the retro 3/4 style. It's a 5 star all the way for me. ... show more
