The item was advertised as new, but if it is new it must have been a return as it does not look at all like the picture. Item came with paint gone and scratches where it must have been installed at least once. I needed it so am using it, but I will wartch closely to make sure it was not returned because it was leaking . So far I haven't put a load on it, so will report back if it leaks under load. I do have to say it is heavily made and if it doesn't leak it will serve my purpose, but mine was not new as advertised, but it was my least expensive option. If it doesn't leak I will revise the rating upward.

Cylinder looked to possibly be remanufactured. Mono ball ends ate very sloppy had no lube and even had dirt fall out when I tried to rotate one. Im sure it will function fine as my project doesn't come close to its capacity but if it was being used on something heavier I would definitely replace those mono balls or return and get something with more heavy duty ends

The cylinder does work but needed some cleaning. Cylinder is worth the money, I believe, if you can take it apart and clean it (machine swarf and grinding dust)and maybe debur the piston! Witch is very easy todo. The rod end that I suppose they wanted to be a hiem joint is trash really loose out of the box. I wasn’t going to use it anyways.
