I fully expected these budget-priced (7 bucks for 2 at the moment) tools to be cheap, lightweight gadgets that wouldn't work worth a hoot. Wrong! The steel construction is very solid. The design is great. The product photos don't give a clear idea of how the handle is angled, so I'm including a side view photo. The angle is comfortable to use for my arthritic hands and is very effective for digging out weeds. The forked part is very sharp, so it easily digs underneath to lift out weeds: crown, roots, and all. I cleared a whole pile of entrenched weeds out of a 2 1/2-foot-square patch in my garden, in minutes. This tool is better than scraping the weeds off at the surface with a hoe, because it removes roots that would grow right back otherwise. And it's hugely better than trying to pull weeds out by hand; I can never get enough of a grip to yank up the roots. Also, I found that this tool brought up the tiny weeds that were just getting started, so it will stay clear longer between weedings. The curved blade part works well to remove weeds within the rows of onions, etc., in the spaces between strips of weed barrier fabric. You do need to be careful using and storing this tool. The sharp edges and tines are dangerous to body parts as well as weeds. The package included a handy pair of lightweight garden gloves, a nice bonus. All in all, a welcome addition to my tool shed.

I inadvertently ordered this thinking that the order didn't take and had therefore ordered a different but similar set. I am older and would prefer an extension or extended handle unit so I don't have to get down so close to ground level to use it. I'm afraid given my age that I might at some point in time have a tough time getting back up. (no joke ) It would also be helpful to have a bit more of an angle on where the tool part is welded to the handle. Some type of rubber grip would be appreciated.

These are strong and sharp tools and work very well at removing grass and weeds. I only had one problem. I layed it down for a few minutes and when I picked it up it was very hot from the sun. I remedied this by wrapping sports tape around the handle and now I have a couple of great tools! The price was great even though the handles weren't coated or covered to protect from the hot sun and they come with gloves which I hardly ever wear any outside unless I really need them. They would be useful if you don't wrap the handle yourself.

I love to use this tool in my flower beds. I planted lilies this year from a bulb state and can't tell what is a weed and what may be the flower that I planted on purpose. I think I have it figured out and this tool makes it easy to keep other weeds away from my babies. It feels comfortable in my hand and I like that 2 came in the package in case I misplace one. For the price, its very worth it.

You get 2 weeding tools, they are made well and are easy to use. They work great at removing tough roots, if you can get the root with the forked edge, you can flip it over and use the cutter side. This is comfortable to hold. This would be even better if it had a threaded handle to use on a telescopic pole or broom stick. I would recommend this tool it is a great value
