I wanted a protective cover for my front-loading washer because we have shelves above where they are located, and once or twice I have dropped items onto the top that marked up the finish on our old washer. This mat/tray is the perfect solution. The soft silicone rubber is durable and offers protection from spills or drips of laundry detergent and bleach. The side walls will contain even large spills, and it wipes clean with just a damp cloth. And for me, it looks like it will provide a cushion against scratches or small dings if I drop something or knock something off those shelves above the washer. Bottom line is this is inexpensive insurance to protect the cosmetic appearance of your front-loading washer or dryer.

Even though I was super careful with my new machines I still managed to get a scratch on my new dryer. No worries because now it’s covered and my dryer is protected from any further damage. This is an excellent quality mat, doesn’t move around and it’s thick enough for the job.

This fits perfect on top of my washing machine and keeps it clean. This could be used under sinks, mini fridge or dog food bowls. It’s a quality product of thick, waterproof silicone and will last a long time while protecting whatever you need protected.

- Fine quality silicone mat for use on the top of a washing machine. Has a 3/4" raised border at the perimeter for containing small items and liquids and cleans up well. - I didn't measure before ordering and found that our washer is 27" wide (Kenmore) which is, I think, a fairly standard size. The mat is 23-1/2" square, so ended up being too small for our machine. They do provide measurements on the description, so this one is on me. But strange that it's this size (at least for sale to a US audience) since most people will have this issue. - May still be useful, but doesn't give as clean a look as the product page photo. - Measure before purchase!

I ordered this thinking it might make a slight difference. It's actually really nice to have! I am not that concerned with protecting the top of my old washer, but it's great to have a non slip surface to put detergent and other supplies on. The raised lip will keep things from rolling off, or spilled liquids from running off the side. And I could swear my little laundry room is slightly quieter (?!) I could just be imagining that, but it's one less hard metal surface to reflect sound. Who knows? Anyway, worth the $21 to tidy up your laundry room

I got the mat to cover the top of my dryer to eliminate scratches. It has good coverage and the raised edges prevents spills from going over the edge. Although flexible, the material feels durable.

This doesn't silicone mat fits perfectly on to of my LG washer and the raised edges ensure that any spills or messes will stay contained! It feels pretty thick and strong, but flexible enough to lay flat right out of the box. What a great idea!
