These are very useful “boat hooks”, but I will use them to retrieve items from the front of my eight foot pick up bed. I attached one of them to an eight foot hazel branch, which are plentiful where I live. They will fit 1 inch diameter poles from your local hardware store too. They take a tapered fit, then a screw will hold it securely. They are made of durable nylon material which will flex and bend without breaking. Good value for the money.

The media could not be loaded. Great for building poles with PVC pipe, aluminum or wood or anything else you really want to use. The internal diameter is just slightly shy of one inch that means a nice tight fit on anything with an OD of 1 in. The hooks look like polyethylene and seem well constructed. The single screw hole is adequate but I'll likely drill a hole all the way through and rivet or bolt the end. Last thing I want is to pull a line in or have the top of this slide off because it wasn't bolted. I'm using these for two functions, one as a crab pot puller off my kayak in which I'll use about a three and a half foot pole. The other one and building a push pull pull for the back of my SUV. This has become an essential tool in moving things around the back of the SUV, that is so deep you can't reach to the end of it. A pole allows you to pull luggage and anything else that is out of reach to the edge of the lift gate.
