They look just like the photos, we got the purple and red marbled colors. These are great floating devices to help with those learning to swim. Very buoyant and easy to hold onto. These would work great for swimming laps and you just want to kick, for elderly doing swim workouts or kids learning how to swim. Also great for fun playing in the pool.

Not as buoyant as other kickboards I have, smaller size and thinner than I was expecting. I use this as a swim aid, kicking with my feet as I have an elbow issue. I like the indentations for your hands, but front is too narrow and overall size too small. These may work for kids, but not great for adults.

KID SIZE..... I'll start with that. In all honesty, I don't use a kickboard; Misses Shops Too Much does. When I showed her these, she sort of winced at the size. As you see, these are sort of "rocket ship" shaped where many kickboards have more of an Ice Cream bar shape. Her concern was this boards ability to provide the support she's used to, for her 120 pound frame. Her body composition is pretty muscular from years of competitive swimming. Muscle sinks, body fat adds buoyancy. She was right to be concerned; the tapered shape of these provides *that* *much* *less* flotation than a typical "Ice Cream bar" shaped kickboard. She used it during our swim workout today and, well, it was a first and last time use. If I were not a "Vine" reviewer, I'd return these. This board seems best suited for youth/children or very strong adults. Misses Shops Too Much is pretty strong and she doesn't want these. In the photo showing a strong looking adult, he's not even using a kickboard. So, if you are an adult of her size or larger and you are not particularly buoyant, or strong, it's likely this will not be a good fit for you. If you are somewhat buoyant, are using fins while kicking or just want extra challenge, then go for it. There are some nice design touches in these kickboards; that you can't see in the product photos. On the top side, there are little indents for where your forearm will lay. On the underside there are little indents for where your hand/fingers will grasp. Neither are dramatic, but they are there and seem like they would be useful/helpful. Here's the measurements of the kickboard she currently uses: Hers: 17 1/2" tall, x 11 1/2" wide x 1" thick Here are the measurements from the product page for these. Their measurements: 17.2" x 12.5" x 1.5" I don't really consider those measurements accurate because the board tapers and so, is not really 12.5" wide for the entire length of the board; less board, less flotation. Here are my rough measurements for this board: 15" "tall" (top to bottom) measured down the center. 12 1/2" wide at the bottom 7 1/2" wide towards the top (image number 1, where the ridges start) 4" wide at the tip It's about 1" thick The colors, especially the purple are how they appear on the product page (that purple is gorgeous!). This appears to be well made of quality materials; just not enough float for an adult. I've given a 4 star rating based on initial impressions and *perceived* quality; just best for smaller people. I hope this review has been helpful and enables you to make an informed purchase decision. I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.

We have used these a few times now, and they have quickly become the most popular kick boards we own. The buoyancy is not extreme, which is nice because it acts as more of an aide and less of a life preserver. My kids both love using them, in particular when floating on their back to practice their kicks.

Very light but sturdy. Grips and shaping to allow comfortable holds in several different places. I really like the color patterns. Makes them stand out. Good for exercise, training, or play.
