This ponytail is not for long term wear. two weeks and its tangled curl pattern gone in some parts of it and it frizzes badly. but the hair is soft and that first week of wear its good but week two it gets tangled bad no bringing it back this is my second one I do like how long and thick it is and I did look great in it and that's what made me purchase another one after the first one. I was hoping it would last a little longer or that once I cared for it that it would go back the way it was when I got it but it won't. I want to share my honest experience for anyone considering this Alebery 27” deep curly drawstring ponytail. I’ve actually bought three of these, yes, three, and I want to explain why. The first ponytail I bought looked beautiful out of the package, but I didn’t wear it right away. By the time I finally did, the 30-day return window had passed. When I wore it, it tangled and frizzed so badly I couldn’t bring it back, so I had no choice but to throw it away because I couldn’t return it. Now, most people would say, “Why buy another one?” but I’m a confident, practical woman and I really liked the style, the length, and how well it matched my natural hair. So I decided to give it a real shot and ordered a second one, determined to care for it properly this time. With the second ponytail, I did everything to make it last: I soaked it in warm water with a little mild soap for 5–10 minutes, rinsed it well, combed the ends with a wide-tooth comb, applied a bit of Kiki Curl Custard and leave-in conditioner, sectioned the hair, gently scrunched it to define the curls, then hung it to air dry overnight, not laid flat. By morning it looked fresh again. But here’s the truth: by the end of each day, it frizzes back up and looks wild, so I have to repeat this whole process every single night. I even trimmed the ends to keep it neat. I wear this ponytail every day for work because I love the look and I enjoy switching up my style. That’s why I bought a third one, I want a backup so I don’t get caught off guard if the second one gives out sooner than expected. So for anyone wondering why on earth I’d buy three, it’s simple: I genuinely love how it looks on me, I know how to take care of it, and I’m willing to put in the extra work, for now. But I do hope the company improves the fiber quality so it can hold up longer without so much daily maintenance. I’ve spent over $90 on these ponytails, so I just want other women to know what to expect: it’s beautiful, you’ll get compliments, but you’ll need patience and care to keep it looking fresh every day.
