My neighbor's dogs dug under my fence and killed all my chickens. This is the third time they tunneled under the fence, the people wouldn't do anything about it. I tried to fill in with bricks and dirt to no avial. I did not know that these exited until a friend told me about them. I was worried that I had not gotten large enough pieces, but they work great. They were not too hard to install. I put 4 in in about 10 minutes or less. Panted them so the top is even with the bottom of the fence. Then I back fill with dirt. Very nice liner for the fence, designed to keep the smaller dogs inside. The fence was 3" off the ground, so this really helped. They could use a flat surface on top, or perhaps provide something to hammer into place. Good value.

Since moving in our home several years ago, we’ve had to be super conscious at any gaps we had between our fence and the ground. Not only was there a concern for animals that were entering the yard, but our biggest concern was that our dog could slide underneath the fence or dig under the fence and escape the yard. we got a second puppy over the last few months who is a digger. We’ve never experienced that before, so we knew we had to do something. Instead of finding large rocks or landscaping bricks to fill the gaps between the ground and our fence this product was recommended to me. we received our first shipment and immediately put them in the ground. I initially bought a set of these to fill gaps below a wire fence for containing horses, dogs, and chickens, that couldn't always follow the topography of my property. I both needed more for that project and was so happy with them that I bought another set and will be buying a third. I also put them in gaps below a low deck that dogs like to dig and crawl under. In the hard ground, I wasn't always able to space them perfectly enough to use the provided clips (didn't want to use the provided zip ties, but thought it was cool they gave options), but they're solid and I hog-ringed them to the fence, so they are very secure. They're easy to push/hammer into soft ground and in hard ground, although the horizontal wire would flex as one spike went in and the surrounding ones didn't, the welds didn't break and it pretty much "repaired" itself when I evened up the depth of the other spikes. I bought these for function, not form, but they're not unattractive and being black, blend into the background pretty well. ... show more
