    • Why is this style not included with all vacuums? Much more usable than typical ones.
This is what should be included with every vacuum instead of those typical short stiff ones. That other style is fine for getting in sofa cushion cracks but not much else. This one has extra length and flexibility to get a lot more places. The main purpose I used it for was getting all the way under the refrigerator to keep the bottom coils free of dust bunnies. Of course the longer narrow tip was needed, but the flex was also a big help. If this had been long but stiff, I could not have gotten it to reach all the way to the back since wider hose end would have been hitting the floor. With the flex, I could keep the hose end up while still fitting the flat tip in the narrow gap under the fridge and reaching most of the way to the back. The flat to round hose adapter adapter starts about 20" from the tip so in this use I couldn't use the fully advertised length of 25". Speaking of which, the length from tip to end of hose adapter is actually 24.5", and with the size adapter it's right on 28". The ID of the flex nozzle itself is 1.25" and the adapter has a tapering OD of 1.22-1.39". The middle flex portion is about 15.5" long and was plenty strong and showed no sign of collapsing even when I covered the end with my hand to create a full vacuum. ... show more
