I looked at so many of these things before deciding on this one. Here's what I'll say - it's plastic and kind of flimsy BUT works fine and my kids really love it. It drifts well and goes fast but not too fast for my 9 year old. It's too small for my almost 13 year old daughter. No issue with battery life so far. The main thing I'd say is that the assembly instructions are trash and make no sense. I had to assemble this whole thing based off a "how to put it together" video on the amazon product page. Took me about 2 hours, as someone who doesn't really know what they're doing.
