I ordered other chair leg protecters that are clear with only the felt right on the bottom. I love them and have used them on dining chairs. See the photos to compare how they compare to the black ones. I like these black ones with the extra felt on the edges for the stools because they look better with the black metal legs and the extra felt will be nice if the stools are not pulled straight out like a dining chair might be. The felt seems thicker and better secured to the plastic than the others. They would only be better if the black plastic was not so shiny. I had to get the large size to fit over the bottom of the legs so the fit is not super tight at the top. Overall, very pleased.

I needed a solution to keep the wooden chair legs on my dining room chairs from scratching my wood laminate floor. These silicone chair leg protectors were perfect. They easily stretched over the bottom of each chair leg and stayed snugly in place. The bottom of each protector is a smooth felt-like material that is more dense than felt and slides nicely whenever you move the chairs. I would highly recommend using this product. Just make sure that you order the correct size for your chair legs!

I had previously used the As Seen On TV Ruby Sliders. They worked for awhile, but seemed to stretch and then the plastic part would roll under the stool leg and the felt wasn’t touching the floor. This made it difficult to push the stools in and out from the counter. Also, the clear plastic seemed to harden and was breaking apart. These floor protectors had to be stretched to fit over the stool legs and fit very tightly. I’m very pleased with them. I like the options for sizing, others didn’t offer as well as the color choices for black stool legs.

Great product, but we JUST got the floors redone so my mom is a nightmare about anything scratching the wood. The bottom of these aren't very soft. They ARE felt, but they don't have the smoothest surface. My mom had me take them off, then put them back on because the sticky circle ones kept falling off. These stay on PERFECTLY. So it just depends how crazy your family is about their floors.
