Granddaughter (12yrs) loved the wide variety of colors, especially the metallics. Although the metallics did lose some of their sheen, when dried. The bottles are only 2 ounces, so they don’t last long. But then again, it is just a beginner kit. She also loved the fact that it came with a variety of tools and supplies (even 4 canvases!) and could start painting right away instead of having to take the time to round up a bunch of supplies. It includes mixing cups, sticks, a pouring strainer, 4 canvas boards, a plastic table cloth and gloves, as well as silicone oil. It also comes with easy to follow instructions, so it’s great for beginners. Definitely need to cover the table and probably the floor as well, as it is extremely messy, (especially for kids). The silicone oil is not the best for creating cells. Floetrol would be better. I don’t think the canvases were made for this volume of paint though. They shrank and warped. It really didn’t bother her though because she was just starting out and only learning the techniques. Her mom liked the fact that the pouring medium was already mixed in with the paint so she wouldn’t have to help her with that. Arrived on time and well packaged. ... show more
