Another update 12-12-20: towels are still going strong, again seeming to get more absorbent. These towels get washed at least once to twice a week the sanitary cycle of the clothes washer with bleach. I am still very pleased with this purchase and will buy more if I ever have to. Update: These towels are great! No lint, no raveling, still look new! They seem to be getting even more absorbent as I use and wash them. The key is to air dry the towels, don’t put them in the dryer. I love these towels! Bought these towels to use instead of paper towels. We had previously been using regular flour sack towels instead of paper towels and they held up well. But they were rather large and quite thin. I’ve had these for about two weeks and they have held up very well. They have been through the washer at least twice a week going through the sanitize cycle and using bleach each time. I feel their cleaning and absorbency are much superior to the flour sack towels we were using.

These are standard cotton bar towels... good size, not too big, not too thick, not too heavy. They didn't shed a lot during the pre-use washing and drying and they fluffed up a little. They take water well without getting too heavy and are easy to ring out. If they stand up to multiple wash and dry cycles, they will be a great value for the price.

I use bar towels for just about every thing in the kitchen, bath, and house. Paper towels are for grease, and I only use a few rolls per year. But I keep up to 5 dozen bar towels in various stages of stain and wear for every thing in the house and yard. I purchased these 24 to renew the towels I use for drying dishes. All my bar towels have a colored stripe. The colored stripe helps me visually tell which towel I am reaching for: for drying dishes, wiping a dirty stove top or counter, or cleaning the bath room. They are cotton, so they will stain. These are a good size, very absorbent, and clean easily. A good environmentally friendly choice. I'll buy again.

I purchased these to use instead of paper towels as much as possible. 24 of these costs about the same as 12 rolls of bounty paper towels. Cheaper in the long run and probably better for the environment. I was hoping they'd be thicker than the ones I had seen in bars (I had assumed the ones in bars had probably been washed dozens of times and therefore thinner, but no, these are just as thin). The Terry looping in the white section is okay, but the blue loops are inconsistent in their size and some are quite long. Sizing - 23 of 24 are the same size, but the 24th towel is 4" longer than all the others, so quality control isn't real tight. So am I overly picky? Yes, I am. Just the way I am. These towels will do the job, but when they wear out I'll probably replacement with inexpensive home bath hand towels. They'll be thicker and the Terry looping will be more consistent.
