The 22” lawn aerator was lighter than I expected, but overall it works well. Unlike gas powered aerators, it doesn’t leave messy plugs all over the yard, which I really appreciate. Assembly was straightforward, and the included tool made the process easy. The instructions were decent, and the overall construction feels solid and sturdy. One thing to note because it’s lighter, it sometimes struggles to pierce tougher soil. When applying extra pressure, I noticed it could cause a bit of a tearing effect rather than clean holes. That said, it’s easy to maintain, and the nail strips can be removed for storage, which is a nice touch. I did notice the black finish rubbing off in a few areas, but that’s pretty minor and expected with use. So far, it’s been a good tool for small yard maintenance.

This is extremely heavy duty, easy to assemble, and I have used it a couple of times already in my front yard that really needed this! I was worried about putting it together but the instructions were very clear.

The media could not be loaded. This is a very sturdy lawn and garden aerator. The instructions for assembly are very clear. It comes partially assembled, but be prepared to spend about an hour putting it together. The instructions suggest that you weigh it down by putting 5lbs of sand or stones in the cloth bag that they provide and seal it inside the drum. I used small stones and it worked well. The metal is very good quality. The only plastic I noticed was the connectors for the pole. Everything else is metal and HEAVY. The hardware for assembly is exceptionally good. The main bolts have ridges on the head, so they are easy to grip and install. The bolts themselves are made of hardened steel and did not fall apart or strip like most of the junk hardware that comes with things. The spikes are hard and sharp!! They have also included extra spikes in case one breaks while using it. I tried it out on our very hard ground (no rain for weeks) and the spikes penetrated about half an inch into the ground while just pushing it. I would think that with more moisture it would penetrate an inch or more.
