Works just fine it just gets kinda heavy(8+ lbs) after using for hours on verticle surfaces. Foam buffing pads are okay, wool pads are major cheapo's. The backing discs are kinda cheap too, the velcro wants to peel off when trying to get foam pads off. Having a 12foot power cord is not really advantageous at all, in fact, it makes packing/storing it less convenient.

I really like this buffer. It is built like a tank and includes some great options like variable speeds ( 6 of them) as well as a great assortment of buffing/polishing pads etc. It even includes two extra motor brushes and when is the last time you've seen that. It is heavy because it is well made unlike most of what you buy today that is made as cheaply as possible and made to fail to increase profits. All this at an extremely great price point. It is easy to use, albeit heavyish, and there are some nice video online to reference and for review of the buffer.

I have been shopping for our new core buffer. I run a boat detailing business. The main buffer we have been using is discontinued. This buffer isn't heavy. Has great torque. At $42 the price can't be beat. Having the front of the buffer with a comfortable handle it's easy to use and don't get hot after buffing for hours on end.

My coworker works at a auto paint shop and they exclusively use the Makita buffer polishers which have a trigger. This one does as well however it is more of an on-off switch instead of the pressure sensitive trigger on the makitas which adjust power output. The trigger making it so that the machine turns off as soon as you let off of it is much safer, and this actually has quite a good quality motor that isn't failing to buff out the scratches or headlight oxidation so it is satisfactory but I would reserve five stars for a plug-in buffer polisher with a pressure sensitive trigger for detailing . If they came out with a model like that, especially a corded one that doesn't need to chew through dozens of batteries then my dream would come true
