My washer had four screws in the back and two in the front. Removed those, put the top to the side (without disconnecting water lines) and was able to remove the original rods and replace with these. The 'tub' is balanced now and there's no more banging. I wish I had done this months ago. Tips: -There are sharp edges inside a washer, so consider longer sleeves to protect your arm from cuts. -There's a grease of some kind on the rods currently in the washer. Getting a grip without your hand sliding can be tedious. Textured gloves may help. It can be done bare handed, but it's a PIA. -Have a long "grabber" ready so you can get those missing socks you'll find. (True story) Anyone can do this. There's no need to call the service department.

Update: After leaving my review, I was quickly contacted by the seller. The item might have failed me but the seller stands by their sales. They absolutely didn't have to but they made things right. Now knowing this, I would certainly buy from them again. Okay I waited 10 weeks or so to give my review of these support rods. First they came quickly and looked better than original, worn out rods. At first they seemed stronger but after normal use, which is two adults and no kids, they aren’t holding up. The washer tub is shaking just like it was when I replaced the 2 year old rods. I just took them off to make sure nothing had broken and they are just worn out. Not sure what to do next. Might actually have to buy original manufacture parts.

Our Samsung washer would constantly stop washing mid wash and stay with unwashed clothes for hours until we check and we kept getting the same OB code no matter how little we loaded or how we adjusted the load. I watched some YouTube videos on how to repair this code and saw people replacing it these rods and I looked up the part number I needed on Google. I found this product on Amazon and ordered it. I looked up some more YouTube videos on how to remove the top of the washer to take out the old dampers and install the new ones. It took about 10 minutes but once we were able to take the top off, the damper himself took about five minutes to replace it now our washer works perfectly. May not last as long as the official ones, but so far we have loaded many loads through it since the install and no issues and so glad we did this. I highly recommend this product if you’re getting load issues with your washer, it’s a really easy upgrade or fix to do on your washer.

I bought and installed these rods with the help of YouTube videos. It did not help my washer at all. It continued to start knocking on spin cycle. The repairman said it was a faulty part and I needed to get different rods. Unfortunately, I was past the return time but the seller still offered the refund.

These worked on.my Samsung washing machine. Seem sturdier than original. Stopped the machine from off balance spinning and sounding as though it would fly to pieces. We found a video online and was able to install ourselves easily.
