  • Weed Rake
Works!

  • Blade only no attachments.
I love this tool. The only problem is how to find a compatible handle. I’ve used it handheld as is however I would really like to purchase or find where to get the appropriate. I’m not sure what you call it though the long piece that’s like he would have a rake so you can actually use it like a rake. The only reason that I gave it three stars as opposed to 5 stars is the fact that it’s not really user-friendly as is nor is there any information provided onto where to purchase attachments. Which does make this product somewhat deceptive. Yes, if you read all the information it indicates that it’s only the blade however it’s pictured with a rake style handle. Maybe the suppliers of this product could add some information on that. ... show more

  • Impressive weeding rake needs a stout wooden handle
This iron weeding rake head is impressive. The rake head (10.6" wide, 4" deep) has eight sharp triangular teeth to penetrate deep into the ground, snagging roots to be pulled. The teeth are backed up with a strong sharp blade that can cut through roots too stout to be pulled whole. The rake head is strongly built with magnetic (not stainless) steel and rebar, with good welds for heavy usage, and the rake head can be disassembled (unbolt teeth and blade) to sharpen the teeth and blade after hard use. But the product does not include the (IMO mandatory) stout wooden handle necessary for tool effective use (minus one star). I use less impressive hand claws or long handled hoes for lesser weeding. I'd use this rake head to break up hard ground (the head rebar is stronger than most hoe stems) or to remove really dug-in weeds requiring much hard chopping and much handle hard pulling. This harder usage IMO requires a stout wooden handle to provide chopping leverage and two-handed pulling. The rake head has a welded conic fitting with 1.3" diameter opening and a drilled hole for attaching the wooden handle into the rake head. For maximum strength a ~1.3" diameter stout wood handle (and some conic whittling) is required: a shovel or hoe handle instead of a rake or broom thinner handle nailed to the conic fitting. Suitable handles are available at local hardware stores or through salvage. The rake head combines a conic handle fitting, a steel rebar stem, and the toothed bladed head with good quality welds; everything is strongly built for heavy use. The rake head I received was rust-free but unpainted; a thin coat of light oil prevents rusting in basement or garage damp storage. The package includes a pair of cut-resistant gloves (that will NOT stop sharp teeth punctures) and the rake head with teeth/blade embedded in a poly-foam block. (I'll make a corrugated cardboard wrap-around sheath for long-term use.) The product is heavily wrapped in synthetic burlap for safe shipping. ... show more

  • Not a great purchase.
Product was delivered slightly rusted and bent. I was able to straighten it out fairly easily. It also doesn't easily attach to a standard wooden garden tool handle. Looks like you would need to attach it with a screw as there are holes in the metal where the handle would go. A normal garden rake would work just as well. ... show more

  • Poor quality starting to rust!
I have had this a little over a week, sitting on my patio and its starting to rust! Quality items should not rust this fast. Have not even used it!

  • GREAT HOE....But -----NO HANDLE!
It does NOT include the handle and I am having difficulty finding one for the hoe. The metal part of the hoe that digs and cuts weeds is phenomenal!!!!!!!It is VERY sharp and loosens soil and cuts weeds with ease. It works better than any garden tool I've ever used. If this hoe had a sturdy, long handle it would be PERFECT ! A 5++++++++ ... show more
