Good solid feel and better than the 003 it is patterned after. The added swing weight really helped. I could place the ball with ease. Yes, it is not as poppie as many other paddles, but at 70 years old, power takes a back seat to sneaky placement. Perhaps it will makes you happy as it does Jack Sock? ... show more

Several of those I play with use the Selkirk Luxx Epic. Since I prefer an elongated paddle I purchased the Invikta model. The paddle's relatively light weight and 20 mm core is designed for those would want enhanced "control" over "power" and I have no doubt that it fulfills this need. However, it turns out that the cutout interfered with the way I occasionally grip the paddle. Obviously this is not an issue for those who are using a Selkirk paddle with this design but it was for me. Given the current price of high end paddles the price of the Luxx is now par for the course. It is neither a good or bad value for the money. Selkirk offers a 30 day test drive with no questions asked returns. If any of the three Luxx shapes works for you then it is worth the price. ... show more

It’s pricey at $250, but my game instantly improved. It’s so light it’s easy to impart spin on the ball with just a flick of your wrist. On my very first serve the ball cleared the net and dove into the kitchen, I’d never done that before! The slightly longer and narrower shape generates more paddle speed and power to the ball.
