The cats love the cat tree. I love that it is made of wood (mainly), it won’t get dirty or attract fur like fabric covered cat tree. There are fabric pillows for the baskets, but they’re removable. The baskets fit my 12-13lb cats pictured in the top two baskets well. If the cats were any larger they wouldn’t fit so well. This cat tree makes my dog jealous. He wants a dog tree! ... show more

This is a ridiculously nice cat tower - honestly almost too nice. Kinda wish I was a cat. Anyway! It is very well made and easy to assemble. One thing I'll note - one of the columns had a bit of plastic still in the threads. It was some kind of plastic plug probably left over from the manufacturing process, but I thought I was about to be dead in the water during assembly. I got a screwdriver and was able to punch out the plastic, and it fell down into the column revealing the threads so all was well and I was able to complete the assembly no problem. Just wanted to call that out in case others skimming the reviews run into this. Aside from that issue, the assembly is very simple and the parts are nice and sturdy. There aren't a lot of instructions and you don't really need them, you could probably put 2 and 2 together without any instructions at all, it is dead simple. I had it together in about 15 minutes. They include some fabric gloves for handling the sisal rope which is thoughtful and helped a ton. The version I got (see images) is quite tall! I think my cat likes being able to lord over the household so this is part of what I was looking for. It's tall without being too sprawling, it doesn't take up much more horizontal space than the little old carpet tower I had before. I think it does well at utilizing space so that the cat has plenty of options for entertainment without taking up too much of the room. There are plenty of interesting places to hang toys which is a huge plus. I will note that if your cat isn't a good climber, this might be a bit much for them. My cat is young and fairly acrobatic, but she has to use a bit of caution to maneuver up past the first platform. There are a couple of reasons, I think - 1) the compact use of space means there is some overhang between levels so she can't just blindly jump up to the next level without smacking her head, 2) the distance is juuuust far enough that she can't crawl up with her back legs still touching the next-lowest foothold, and 3) the platforms are very smooth and a bit slick on her paws. I don't think this is really a bad thing, it's probably a bit more engaging, but something to note if your cat isn't particularly climb-y. I would imagine as she gets more used to it, she will be zipping up and down, but it takes some effort for now at least. It may help to put some sisal rope or grippy material on the platforms. Lastly, I love that all of the columns are wrapped in sisal rope. One of the main reasons I upgraded was because my cat would get the zoomies and shred the carpet on her old tower, and when pieces of carpet fibers came out she would chew and sometimes swallow some of it. She took to scratching on the sisal rope quickly, and it doesn't have that problem so big win there. Bottom line: if your cat is a decent climber, and you're looking for an option without carpet that's engaging, well made, and aesthetically pleasing without taking up TOO much space, I'm not sure you can do much better. ... show more

I love this cat tree! The Best quality cat tree I have ever purchased. It is made with a solid wood base and the baskets are reinforced as well. Super easy to assemble and came with gloves which was just a really really nice touch since the scratching posts are very poky with my hands but my kitty loves it! I do wish it was taller though that's my only feedback. My little guy is a climber and having a taller tree would be great. I saw the other trees were a bit taller but I knew this style would be best for my kitty and his preferences but if you can make this style like 2' taller I would happily buy a new one! PLEASE MAKE THEM TALLER! I have a lanky savannah cat and need a tall sturdy tree for my kitty and this is sturdy! ... show more

This is a very pretty cat tree…but I was disappointed when I saw that the legs are all cardboard covered with a cheap, thin strand version of jute rope that seems like it will easily come off. The pillows are also cheap material but seem easily washable which was a plus. Additionally, I hoped that the wooden bases would help keep a cleaner cat tree, but ultimately they just didn’t have the grip that my cats prefer. They were very hesitant to even try out the tree, and so uninterested. It also seems better for a more petite/agile cat as the upper wooden platforms are quite small in area. I have had cats for over 10 years and I have to say this is the most solid cat tree that I have ever bought. Super easy to put together, it feels very sturdy! The baskets have a wood backing, they will never give in to your cats weight. The only thing that I see can use some improvements are the cushions, the seem slightly smaller than the basket and are very thin, easy fix if you are crafty. I attached a picture of my 2 adult cats and as you can see they both are quite comfortable with the size of the shelves. This is worth every penny! ... show more
