I am genuinely upset. I got this 3 hours ago when I got home from work as a stop gap for hot water while we get our tank replaced. I looked it over while my tub was filling up and then set it in the water so it was submerged and turned it on. It started heating and lasted about 20 seconds before it just cut off. I grabbed a bucket, dropped the heater in and tried all of the plugs in my house. It will not turn on and produce heat at all. I do not know if I got a defective unit, but I am so upset right now.

This thing has been a nice add-on for my bathroom routine. I don’t always need a full bath worth of hot water from the tap, so I’ll warm a separate container and then mix it in until it feels right. The little screen showing the temp is the part I use the most. It takes the “is this too hot?” guesswork out of the process, especially when I’m doing a soak after a long day. I also like that it shuts itself off when it gets to its limit, so it doesn’t just keep climbing. I still stay nearby and keep everything clear while it’s running, but it feels thoughtfully built.

I picked this immersion heater up because I needed a fast way to warm water without building some whole contraption. I grabbed this portable immersion heater to warm water without dealing with a big, permanent install. It’s basically a drop-in heater with a little screen that shows the water temp while it’s running, so I’m not guessing. I like that it feels like real metal where it counts, and the guard around the heating area makes it feel more “contained” when it’s in a bucket.
