  • Best trailer jack on the market, hands down
This is by far the best trailer jack I have ever had. It’s very quick and easy to use. The shaft moves up and down very smoothly, makes jacking up the trailer significantly faster than the traditional crank only design. It’s construction is solid, very sturdy, excellent welds. Installation was quick and painless. 3 bolts and done. While the jack doesn’t come with mounting bolts, it shouldn’t. You are either to reuse your existing bolts from your old jack or use new holds with lock washers like I did. There are a lot of comments complaining about how hard it is to install the 3 bolts. I had absolutely no issues. I installed them finger right with ease and then about 3 turns of a wrench and they were tight. There is plenty of room. The only way this is hard for people is if they are using too long of a bolt or are trying to use a socket. Sockets don’t work. Use an open ended wrench. The bolts at the most need to be 1” long. It comes with a small jack foot which works well. I use a wheel foot as I need to be able to roll my trailer into its final parking spot. With the jack in most positions, you can open your trucks tail gate with plenty of clearance without hitting it. Overall, best trailer jack on the market, hands down. ... show more

  • Looking promising so far
I installed the new ultimate jack. Sturdy, great idea. I bought it to be able to drop my tailgate all the way. I can’t drop it all the way without it hitting the handle. Without the, “Plastic retainer” installed the jack post would drop to far down or be able to be removed. I opted for it to just to be able to remove the post for the day when I need access to the truck bed. Unfortunately the instructions clearly state not to do this. I’ve reached out to them to see if I absolutely need the plastic retainer. I don’t see a reason why it would make it any more unsafe but I need to make sure. I’ll update with more details because I’ve wanted one of these for a long time but had trouble making the decision. Update: I received a call after I had inquired about whether I should just take the jack out and if it was safe to do so. I believe it was from the owner. He said it’s designed to use the plastic retainer but if you decide not to it’ll probably be fine. The only issue being if it creates extra play and shears the pin under heavy load and drops on you, potentially causing harm. I said ok, I understand, and left it at that. I feel like because where I park my trailer is on an uphill slope so the pin doesn’t seem any more likely to shear than it normally would with the retainer. If I parked with the trailer facing down hill I might feel differently. It’s a big recommendation that you buy this if you need to keep oem jack placement and drop your tailgate. I’ll continue to update if anything changes. In the future I’ll continue not to use the plastic retainer and to take the jack out anytime I need to drop the tailgate. Edit 2. It’s awesome. To bad I put it off for so long. Now I can use my tail gate as a work surface even with the trailer attached. Go ahead and buy it! 😁 ... show more

  • Great piece of gear for upgrading cargo trailer
So far so good! Works very well, easily helps me raise/lower my trailer faster. Also great to lower the jack away from my tailgate. The stock jack was too tall and would be in danger of denting the tailgate if I put it down to access the truck bed.

  • Excellent first impressions
Update: Raising it to 5 star because of how well it is working for my application. Used over the weekend and allowed the use of tailgate on Honda Ridgeline. I have a stubby drawbar so any previous jack made the tailgate useless. I was able to drop the tailgate completely and swing the tailgate a useful amount. I also discovered that I could use my wheel that has a stem on it after removing the foot. With the quick adjustment, I can raise it high enough to insert the wheel stem with the trailer still hooked up and then lower it quickly to hold the wheel in place. This is an extra benefit that I hadn't even thought of when ordering this. Like many with an A-frame trailer, the pickup tailgate is unusable until you unhook from the trailer. This looked like the solution. Now that I have it installed, I'm looking forward to taking full advantage of access to the bed of the truck with the trailer hooked up. As long as I remember to put it in the up position once the tailgate is closed before driving off. My trailer hardware was flanged bolts screwed into flow drilled/tapped holes in the bracket. The holes on the trailer lined up in the middle of the slots and there was enough room for the flange on the bolt. I did have to put the front bolt through the slot before lowering the assembly through the large hole in the trailer. And then had to hold it up a bit while getting the bolt started in the threads. Most trailers probably have clearance holes and you can just drop the bolt in. No using a socket or even a box end wrench for me but an open end worked fine. A little more movement since there is the play of the lifting ram inside the outer tube and then the outer tube inside the triangle bracket. but with the trailer properly chocked I didn't see enough movement to be a concern. ... show more

  • Great trailer jack
Exactly what I needed! The factory jack and it's mounting height left the foot hanging to low and it would drag hard on occasion with dips at intersections and lot entrances. I tried finding a spacer to raise the mounting height and happened on this jack. It's perfect, it allows me to raise the jack so the foot is almost flush to the bottom of the tongue for travel and drop it to the perfect height with no blocks no matter where I park to have minimal cranking to unhook. Very solid unit. ... show more

  • Best Trailer Jack On the Market
The best trailer jack on the market. Its design allows for full retraction on low trailers to prevent impact with the road in low dips. It also allows for rapid lifting of the trailer and storage out of the way.
