This is the same stuff you can get at the grocery store, just in a full, 4-box case. It works to boost laundry, in household chemical concoctions for pest control, cleaning, and such. The value here is in the subscription. My household does a lot of laundry and we go through this in about 6 months, so it works out perfectly. It just shows up when its about to be needed. Perfect. I trust this name brand over some of the other "boraxes" out there. Some are a lot lighter weight than this so I don't know what they are selling. Probably air. I'm very late to the game, and have just learned about all of the uses for borax and I absolutely love this stuff now! The fact that you get four in a package for under $30 is a steal! I've already gone through an entire box as I like to use this as a laundry booster- it does a phenomenal job of getting tough stains out of your clothing, it also helps soften your clothes and retain their bold colors. Also works extremely well for cleaning out drains and pipes, you can even use this stuff to clean your toilet bowl and it's not harsh whatsoever, doesn't really have much of a scent to it which i love. Excellent for many different purposes and always has been. It’s hard to remember that in this day of branding and marketing shenanigans. It doesn’t make big piles of suds, it isn’t perfumed up to make the whole house smell, it just does the job, it just works.
