  • Great mic setup, but not what I expected, and very little instructions
Style: Lightning
I would have given 5 start... but there was a big issue. Note that as a single lapel microphone, with built-in noise suppression (3 levels!), it works really well. Best should ever from a lapel mic! It also has a reverb mode, if you want reverb in your voice. not for me. Very nice charging case, too, and the LED's work well for signaling charging status, case battery status, and the various modes accessed by pressing the single button. Actually pretty easy to use, and the noise suppression mode selected stays set even after a power cycle! So what is the issue? There are two: 1, Tiny instructions, incomplete information, such as how to use both mics at the same time 2. Well geez, you can't use both mics at the same time. I thought maybe there were two so you could have an interview between two people, or maybe stereo, or something. Nope. They massively interfere with each other, causing horrid sound. Only one at a time, please. So why have 2 mics? OK, I am guessing that if the power runs out on one, you put it into the charging case and use the second mic, which is fully charged. Thus, you can switch back and forth for a really long recording session. Not sure how long each charge lasts - no information on that in the low-information instructions. At least the instructions show you how to use the various modes, and has a drawing so you know what all the ports and other features are on the mic (but not the charging case). The receiver has an Apple lightning connector, so it plugs into my iPhone, but NOT my iPad Pro (which uses the USB3 connector). I do have a convertor for that, fortunately. Testing the noise reduction features, yes, they work quite well. I mostly played with the level 3, which removed virtually all background noise (I was not in a really heavy noise situation for testing). It made the recording sound like a studio recording! I was impressed - I never had a lapel mic that gave decent sound (too much echo and room noise). So, I will certainly use this mic for podcasts, video recordings, and voice recordings. I would have preferred for it to connect to bluetooth in my devices rather than having an external receiver with an Apple lightning connector. Interestingly enough, the charging case has a USB3 connector to charge it! Hmmm. Anyway, there are 5 LED's to indicate charging case battery level - only lit when a mic is charging, or when the case is being charged. So, get out your microscope (to read the instructions, such as they are), and yes, it is a good mic, but only one at a time, please! How single button works: 1. Press and hold to turn on and off 2. Press once to switch between noise reduction levels (LED blinks 1-3 times indicating level) 3. Press 3 times to turn on/off reverb Pretty simple to operate. ... show more

  • Great product
Style: Lightning
Sound quality was better than expected. Used this to do videos and it is great to be hands free. Noise cancelling was effective did not pick up background noise like the pump on my fish tank. Recordings were crisp and clear, gave a professional sound quality. Can't say enough about not having to yell or hold phone close to hear. This will be a game changer for my unboxing and DYI videos. ... show more

  • Simple, effective, and good sound quality
Style: Lightning
I’m not into vlogging, but rather wanted to try this out as a tool for video reviewing jobsites with audio. And overall this is a nice option. As noted by other reviews the case houses both mics and the receiver (that plugs into and is powered by your iPhone (or iPad) lightning port. The case charges from a USB-C cable, and it in-turn charges the mics housed inside. There are four green battery indicators on the inside of the case to show the level of remaining charge. The receiver is held in place by a magnet, but the two mics are not held in place, so care is required when opening to ensure they don’t fall out; it would be nice if the mics were held in by at least friction. The case is a little smaller footprint than a deck of cards, and just about as thick. So, overall, from an aesthetic and portability standpoint I give good marks. Made a few test recordings to get a gauge on the sound quality, and I have to say I am impressed. These are not going to give studio quality audio recordings, but the recordings I made were clear and with a good quality sound. I gave a try to the noise reduction settings, but I have to say, at least in listing to the playback from my phone it was – to me – undetectable. Not to say it’s not there, but I just didn’t detect any significant change from any of the three noise reduction settings to one with the noise reduction turned off. The reverb setting added a little bit, but nothing crazy. Might be good to add a bit of a larger room feel to your recording. I am not likely to use either, but it’s nice that the options are there. I read another review that had problems using both mics at the same time. I tried it – both on and about six feet apart – and mine worked beautifully. Clear audio from both mics, and no interference at all. Having worked a lot over the years with high-end wireless lavalier mics, these are clearly not the same. But they’re not intended to be. This package (in my opinion) is designed to provide a simple and portable mic-ing solution that will work with the phone millions of people carry with them every day. That the company provides a good quality sound, along with several bonus features, all in a compact footprint, for the price to me is a great deal. ... show more

  • It works but little instructions

Works great once I figured it out. I have never used a microphone with my iPhone, so took some time. Can not use two at the same time. Sound was great too.

  • Perfect for beginners or occasional use.
Style: Lightning
USB rechargeable case for the transmitters, receiver is powered by your Apple device. I found these to have acceptable sound quality and range for what they are. Other reviewers mentioned that both of their transmitters seemed to be on the same frequency, but my set worked perfectly. These are not frequency agile, so if there’s interference you’re stuck. I did notice that the transmitters didn’t pair with the receivers right away, but after turning them on and off a couple of times, they found each other. These are perfect for occasional use, for kids, or a beginning Utube or vlogger. ... show more

  • Quality is decent for casual users
Style: Lightning
I wouldn't say the sound quality is crystal-clear, but if you're just looking for lav mics to use casually or for fun, these are fairly decent. The carrying case is really nice-quality and the clips on the mics themselves are strong and can hold on wherever you place them. If you're looking for mics to use for professional productions or in any setting where sound quality is going to matter a lot, I would invest in serious equipment. For occasional use, they're fairly decent. ... show more
