While it's a nice set and decent price for the size and length of the rolls, the ribbon is a bit on the cheap side.... but as long as you know that upfront, it's a great choice! There's a definite front and back side to the ribbon... it's difficult to tell in the photo, but the back side is not as shiny and is not as smooth to the touch - I'd think that's important for bow making.... Also, when I tried to take the tape off the end to check out the ribbon it frayed very easily at the point where the tape was stuck. When I cut that end off, the ribbon frayed easily too - not TERRIBLY, but enough to make a mental note to have my edge dressing glue to treat the cut ends of the ribbon when I use it to decorate my son's teacher's class door for winter holidays in a few months. The feel on the good side is nice and smooth, but you can tell it's not actually satin or anything close to satin... it's just smooth shiny ribbon - meant to be seen, not touched. It's a "get what you pay for" type of ribbon - and as long as you can work around those few things (uglier back side, frayed ends, etc.) then this set is a great option for Christmas time! Enjoy!

I love to wrap presents but ribbon is so expensive. When I saw this and the price, I had to get it. I like that you get both red and green and that it's 2" wide. It frays pretty bad when you cut it (it was all over the table and my scissors). But with the amount you receive for the price, I think it's worth it. I like to use ribbon instead of the peel and stick bows that you buy in a bag, so I'm sure I'll use this up on my Christmas presents.

These have a satin finish on one side, and a more dull but almost satin finish on the other side. My biggest issue with these was how much and how easily they frayed at the edges when cut. I think any edge produced with this ribbon with be frayed and look a little clumsy because of that. They do make good looking bows though and you get a lot of ribbon to work with.

Time to start all those holiday crafts and the hunt for red ribbon! Here you get about 75 feet of each color. I got the 2" which will be plenty for ribbon wreaths. Of course this is also great for wrapping gifts. The edges are clean - no wispy frays. Unfortunately both colors are on one roll - it would be easier to work with if they came on separate rolls. But you just have to secure one color with a rubber band while you work with the other.

I had previously ordered some cute little burlap bags to use as gift wrap for some items and I love them but they lack that festive flare. When I saw this ribbon, I knew I had a perfect solution. These two rolls of Christmas ribbon come wrapped around a styrofoam spool. The ribbon itself is a very strong fabric and is bound at the edges to prevent fraying.
