These traps are light weight and fold up very nicely - we just used them this weekend and they worked great! We caught hundreds of crawdads in just two days of fishing - enough for 5 boils. Their design keeps them from crawling back out like metal traps might. We were super impressed. You do need to be a little delicate setting them. Since they are designed a little like an umbrella, if you handle them roughly they fold in on themselves and have to be reset which can be a pain. ... show more

After 2 days of soaking only got 2 catfish... while trying to release them they tore up the trap and rendered it useless. Save your money and learn how to throw a cast net.

The frame is really thin and the net fabric is also not very durable. It completely fell apart when I pulled it out of the water the second time I used it. And no, not because it caught too many fish in it. Not so great.
