These are incredibly handy. I'm a painter and have to constantly fix protruding nails. Even though this is meant to make a hole, it's great for pushing nails back in. It won't work on framing nails but small nails like finish nails works like a charm and saves you from carrying a hammer and nail set.

This little tool is so cool. Simple to use, and a lot easier and safer than trying to set nails with a hammer. Just a flick of the fingers and these handy tools set the nail perfectly and rebound into shape for the next use. Nice package of two sizes that should accommodate most nails for us home carpenters.. although my professional carpenter showed me this great tool. Great price. Love the 2 size package. Made of sturdy material, small to tuck away in the pocket of your toolbox. I recommend this product.

I bought this to hammer small nails into the track on my N scale model railroad. It works great. I could never get nails to go in by using a hammer without damaging the track. This is a spring loaded "ram" and you can adjust how hard it drives the nail by the length you pull the spring back. For my track, I use a plastic device with a small hole to hold the nail in place for the first strike, which I perform with only slight force. I increase the force as the nail gets further in. I am putting the nails directly into old plywood which has become quite hard with age. This does the job without creating damage. I did not know these devices existed before I ran across them on Amazon. It saves me a lot of headaches.
