    • It is strong enough to drive small nails into hard wood.
I bought this to hammer small nails into the track on my N scale model railroad. It works great. I could never get nails to go in by using a hammer without damaging the track. This is a spring loaded "ram" and you can adjust how hard it drives the nail by the length you pull the spring back. For my track, I use a plastic device with a small hole to hold the nail in place for the first strike, which I perform with only slight force. I increase the force as the nail gets further in. I am putting the nails directly into old plywood which has become quite hard with age. This does the job without creating damage. I did not know these devices existed before I ran across them on Amazon. It saves me a lot of headaches. ... show more

It certainly works as advertised. Only issue I have is it's hard on the fingers to grip for any length of time. I wonder if someone makes a version that has projections of some sort as the grip areas that would make it easier to grip/pull.

I had few brad nails poking out. Honestly I didn’t have much hope from this item if it can do the job but it works like a charm. But of a manual work but for the price it is absolutely worth it
