Ok. Ill start with the good! -super cute and a great size for a classroom -the dull pencil is actually dull and the sharp pencil actually has a point -easy to figure out how they get out together Considerations: -all the pieces were stuck hard together so that I had to pry them apart....like they were painted and out together before it dried. It took me some trying and it sounded like it was cracking but nothing ended up peeling even though i was kind of sure it was -you have to push a little hard to get it together but they do fit

I got these pencil holders to use in my elementary classroom. Any elementary school teacher knows that pencils go dull and break quickly. They also know that sharpening pencils during the day is a major distraction. When students had a pencil that needed to be sharpened, they would end up on my desk in a pile to be sharpened at the end of the day. Obviously, a lack of organization like this lead to my desk being a mess. Now, when students have a broken pencil, they can put it in the dull cup, then pick up a new one from the sharp cup. This will help my classroom management. The cups themselves have a cute child-friendly design. I love that they're labeled with text, as well as an example of what it looks like. The dull pencil cup is cut off at the top, helping students understand what "dull" can mean. My kindergarten students need that visual cue in order to use organizers like these effectively. The pencil holders are made of a die-cut plywood material with a printed paint or stain that you can see the wood grain through. It does not come assembled, rather, in puzzle-like pieces. The pieces were stacked like pieces of bread in a loaf, and they were sticking to each other. With a bit of finger strength and a butter knife, I got them apart. I was worried that the paint was going to chip, but thankfully it didn't. There are no adhesives keeping the pieces together but they're sturdy and would need some intentional prying to take apart. Overall, I'm happy with these pencil holders.

While the product is still functional, I did not receive the product as pictured. I wanted the faces to help my younger students know which was which. The dull bin picture shows a picture of a sharpened pencil, so that’s a little confusing.
