Well made. These are nice and heavy, all metal. Will be interesting to see how these hold up in the weather (my trailer is kept in a “garage” for storage, so will only be when I’m actually on the road and camping with it). Since I’m in Colorado, will mostly be dry conditions. As another reviewer mentioned, the “chains” with these is more like bent paper clips. Will eventually look at replacing with a better chain of some sort. Could just switch to a small carabiner or just do away with the chain. Installation is simple. I mounted mine with the hinge at the top. The cover will fold all the way back and lay on the top of the bumper when opened. The venting should be good for drying out the “stinky slinky” and minimizing any rusting of the bumper from the inside. Will try to remember to update this in Spring or Summer ‘26 after they have been in use for awhile.

These "fit like a glove" on the bumper of our Winnebago Thrive 18fbs camper. I just didn't want to fool with the plastic ones that were furnished with the camper at purchase time. They look better in my opinion and are spectacularly easy to open.

Item seems pretty sturdy. Overall a nice item. Time will tell how they weather, but they are better than the plastic inserts that keep falling out in the winter. At least one other review mentioned that it didn't fit. I had to pull the strap farther open and hammer it on with a rubber mallet, then clamp it to the bumper. I used a vise grip to pull the screw extrusion together, but I made it fit. I had to install with the screws facing down since the extrusion would not fit facing towards the camper. I hope the pins stay in in this direction. They don't fit in the holes very tight. I may have to place them at some point. The rubber pieces shown in the install video couldn't be used because of the tight fit. Don't know what they would be good for anyway. One other review mentioned they weren't a left and right set, but I think they don't come in a set, they are both the same. I didn't use the bolts that came with the set, I got some stainless ones with locknuts to stay tight.

I was hesitant on something this cheap, but the quality of the materials, the ease of installation, the simplicity of opening and locking these gates and being able to know that the plastic and caps that it came with are not gonna fall out and lose my hose on the freeway good product recommend this to all my friends and family

Love these, they fit tight. I was not sure how well the supplied nuts and bolts were going to stay on, so I went to Home Depot and got some bolts that are a little longer and some nylock nuts. I did have to use visa grips to squeeze the ends so I could put the nuts and bolts on. The plastic caps that these replaced were already cracking at the seem in less than a year. These metal caps are a must.
