OTG cables are not compatible with Amazon Firestick for adding storage. However, other reviews on this product indicate the user successfully got the UBS storage via the OTG cable to work on a Firestick, even on the latest Firestick. In a conversation with Amazon Support I was told a UBS via OTA would work on any Firestick. The only way to add storage is to upgrade to 4K Firestick Max which has 16 GB of storage. ... show more

I needed more storage space than what the Onn box provides so I bought this cable and a SD card and now I have more than enough storage space for all of my apps. You must enable Developer Mode and allow apps to write to external for it to work. Then you can move most non-system apps to the SD card.
