A friend of mine gave me a light like this and I liked it so much that I bought these. The one he gave me seems much brighter, but I think it's because of the light color. His is a warmer color which I like in the shop. I usually get cooler lights in the house because they are a more natural light but in the shop I have realized that I like a warmer light. Probably because the walls in the shop are brown and the floors are gray. I think these are a blueish "daylight" color. In the right setting that's great, like maybe in your house where there are various colors. In the wrong setting, like in the shop where everything is gray and brown, Daylight colored LED lights can appear sort of gray, like a soviet-bloc housing unit. Because of the color, I plan on ordering different, warmer lights for my shop, but I'll keep these for my garage. My house has daylight-colored downlights on the soffit all the way around that automatically come on at a low setting at sunset and turn off at sunrise. I'm about to finish taping and painting my garage so that the walls are white (Behr etched glass in eggshell, if you care) and these daylight lights will match the downlights in the soffit so that it doesn't look like brown dirty light is flowing out of my garage, as compared to the clean blueish daylight shining down from the soffits. Since I was buying lights for my shop, I am a little disappointed in the color. If I didn't have my garage where I can use them, I'd return them for a warmer color. These easy to install and use LED lights are excellent! They lit up our garage beyond what is possible with regular bulbs. We have a gym on one side of our garage and these lights really make a difference. They light up the ENTIRE 3 car garage with ease and make using the gym or the workstations and tool cabinetry on the other side of the garage so much easier to navigate, if you will. As with other LED lights I have purchased here on Amazon, I expect a long and highly usable lifespan from them and do not anticipate being disappointed but also as with other such products bought here I know the sellers and Amazon will work to help resolve any problems I may encounter. These are a lot of light for the price. They're super easy to install, though the included replacement sockets are too small to cover a standard 4" ceiling electrical box. Those are very inexpensive at your big box hardware store though. I replaced fluorescent tube lights for about the price of just replacing those fluorescent bulbs. Hopefully these babies last much longer and aren't prone to the shortened life cycle from frequent on and off switching like the fluorescents were. Very pleased. ... show more

Been working on my Jeep with lamps because it’s dark. Needed a cheap and quick solution. Most bulbs I found just didn’t cut it. These puppies are amazing! Opening the house entry door while these are on in the garage looks like sunshine coming into the house.

Solidly built easy installation. Got 2inits for my garage. What a difference. My wife lost her hunting license it was in the car but once we turned on those lights we found it right away lights up even inside the car when you’re open the doors. Truly amazing and wonderful.

These are so much of an improvement over the standard incandescent or led bulbs. If you already have the screw in light sockets. However, the hardware for installation is a joke and I would think should be illegal to use. They include 2 3/4 inch wood screws and and 2 of the super low load green drywall anchors. The socket itself is super chintzy and doesn’t have any way to ground it. ... show more
