So I destroyed and threw away my one and only ps4 controller that I had since I bought my ps4 pro back in 2018 now 2025 do to multiple reasons being it wasn’t staying charged anymore, randomly glitching when streaming videos which caused my ps4 to force close out my apps saying on screen “error has occurred” which I haven’t experienced yet since I started using my new controllers and all in all I pretty much knew my ps4 controller was just about old and gone figured it was time to buy some new ones and I have not been disappointed so far. works phenomenal on pc as well didn’t expect that I was giggling/laughing like a little kid in a candy store I was having so much fun gaming again it’s been a blast using my ps4 as well since I packed up on the shelf collecting dusk since 2024 of last year until I searched around for controllers that was worth it since I didn’t just want to go buy anything and go through the hassle of sending it back because it didn’t work. No way I saw myself buying 1 freaking ps4 controller for 40.99 when I got 2 amazing CONTROLLERS and a CHARGING STAND for both for 39.99. The new charger needs the controller to be set on it carefully at first. After a couple of charges it’s easy.

I was initially very impressed by the controllers. They match very closely to the Sony PS4 Dual Shock controls, right down to the grip texture on the back/etc.. in fact the main difference is that the D-pad and shape button surface is curved rather than flat. The difference here is somewhat unnoticeable and could be considered a pro or con depending on preference. The controllers seem very solid, feel good in the hands, and are well made. They are perhaps slightly lighter than the Sony brand controllers, but don't feel cheap. I would personally prefer if both of the included controls were black, but no big issue. I really like the fact that the charging stand supports charging authentic Sony PS4 controllers as well, so you can use this to charge all of your controls. It charges two at a time, which is convenient. The light ring on the bottom is a bit much aesthetically in my opinion, but I wont dock any points there as it is minor and a matter of personal taste... Now for the most important stuff: how well these function! Overall when using these with the PS4 they seemed to work well and be more or less equivalent to the authentic Sony controllers. I ran into some disappointment however when I decided to try these out on PC. I run Linux, and Sony PS4 controllers work great for Linux gaming. I expected no less from these, but was surprised when I ran into some strange issues... (note that these issues would also apply to Windows.) When I plugged in the controller via USB it showed up as "XBOX 360 Controller." I was puzzled, and spent some time trying to figure out what was going on. I eventually found a tidbit buried in the manual that explains this is the normal behavior! I am still puzzled by why they would chose to go this route vs. having these behave as Sony PS4 Dual Shock controls (which work perfectly!) The issue may sound like a minor one, but keep in mind this could cause issues with button configurations, and the touchpad DOES NOT WORK when plugged in via USB. As I continued testing I found that bizarrely when you connect via bluetooth, the control shows up as "PS4" and the touchpad DOES work... I tested on another system and had issue getting wired operation to work at all, so keep in mind PC support is hacky and can be hit or miss. A real shame as these otherwise would be a five star product... Final verdict: a good option if you plan to use only with Playstation 4. PC gamers may want to consider their options...

Decent build, but the sensitivity on the joy sticks are not up to par to Sony. They work for the basics but for example in Ghost of tsushima when trying to climb the rocks you have to use the left one and with theses you just don't move any direction but down. The battery life is quite weak with only about 3 hours straight gaming time.

These are awesome! I goofed and thought I was just ordering the charger. Nope, it comes with two controllers as well. They both work well and seem to hold a charge well. They battery size is smaller than the name brand controllers, but that's an easy fix if you're even slightly handy. Also, I had ordered a custom shell for a different DualShock controller, but things didn't fit quite right. So I used the internals of one of these controllers and everything went together nicely! There are two small, likely negligible, cons. 1. As previously mentioned, the battery capacity is smaller than on the OEM controllers. 2. The base is powered by micro usb (provided in the box) But those are far from being a dealbreaker. The controllers charge pretty quickly, and this provides a nice rainbow effect of colors while charging. Worth the money if you need a charger and a couple spare, good quality controllers.

I asked to review these PS 3/4 joysticks because the batteries in mine were dead. And it's so much easier to just get another set with what these cost. I had no problems pairing them with my PS3. But the PS4 took me trying for about 5 mins to pair successfully. These can also be used with a PC. So versatile. They work and feel just like the original ones did. Although the button icons are more stylish. The kit comes with a charger base that's nice. It has lights around the base that change colors. Plus icons that light up to show charge status. Several USB cables are also included. Great replacements for your old, broken or dead PS joysticks. That you can also use with a PC.
