Ps2 is basically unplayable on new TV's this will fix that. Not perfect but so much better then others I've tried. Side note the usb on front of the ps2 seems to proved cleaner power then the proved power adapter. If the picture is unstable or your seeing extra white pixels the power being supplied to the adapter it not correct.

This is a specific example, but maybe someone out there is in the same situation, so this may only be applicable to very few people. I had the Astro branded version of this for my PS5, and it worked great, but that thing got so dang hot I literally could barely touch it. I added heat sinks to it and had a blower fan go across us and that made kept it significantly cooler, but a lot of setup for that piece of hardware. Over time I think it mostly cooked itself to death, it worked, but only barely and the audio would consistently “flicker” in and out. I purchased this as a replacement and worked like a charm as well as all my issues went away, yet it does get hot, but not nearly as bad, I can at least touch the thing after extended use. Highly recommend this over the Astro one, unless they’ve addressed the heat issue, this just feels safer.

Worlds better than the composite to hdmi converter I was using picture is far less fuzzy on screen although it does take the monitor some time to process the aspect ratio from the device not sure how to fix that but works great nevertheless.

No video signal at first on my PS2 Slim when connecting this HDMI converter. I had to connect my PS2 Slim to a old TV via the original component video cable to change the video setting (component video out) to Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr. Then connected my PS2 Slim to this HDMI converter and my TV. Issue resolved.

WOW!! Okay, so I had this other contraption that allowed you to hook up the composite video cables (Red, Yellow, White) and covert it to HDMI. With the PS2 it looked like garbage. Then I found this one on-line and read the reviews and they all said it was great. So, I figured, for the price, I'll try. WOW. Amazing. The PS2 looked great on my 1080p TV!!!!! I was able to play my SOCOM: Navy Seals game which I've been wanting to play ever since I started watching the "Seal Team" show. Now I'm thinking of ALL the PS2 games I can play again. The only thing I question is that the instructions and the box says its for the PS2 AND PS3. But the PS3 is already HDMI native. So, I don't understand how and why you would use this module for the PS3. I'm just using it for the PS2 so I still gave it 5 stars.

This item is awful don’t waste your money. I just got my adapter and every two seconds my stream goes black. You’re better off getting the Astro adapter for the same price
