I like these lights and have other sets of them. This particular order showed up and when I opened the Amazon box, I could tell the lights were in a box that had been previously opened and re-sealed. And then when I opened the box of lights, both strings were inside the box completely tangled up and shoved in the box by the previous person. I am easy going and these were cheap so I guess I don't expect much from sellers like this. So I give this 4 of 5 stars because I like these little lights. I ordered two sets of these lights on one order. They can switch between "white" and "multi-color" lights. Unfortunately, the two sets they sent me are two very different tones of white to the point that they could not be used on the same tree (see picture). I am having to figure out how to get a replacement set that is the same color. I cannot speak to the quality and longevity of these lights since I just received them and I am trying to fix this color variation problem ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These lights are a beautiful hue and the fact that they can both be white lights or color is amazing. I wish they came with an instruction manual on the light speeds and what color for the remote. Also the remote only controls about 9 things. My 10 button on my remote turns them off. Which is strange. The reason I'm going 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the remote and lack of instructions for said remote. Be careful if you have epilepsy or another nuro disease. These lights were used for wrapping around the Xmas tree. I ordered two packs (four strands total) so that I could lengthen or shorten the overall length due to the size of future trees. I think the best part about these is that you can remove the cord extension section that you find on pretty much all Xmas lights where the plug is connected. This way, you can make a continuous strand of lights when connecting multiple sections so that you cannot even tell that there are connections in between. The brightness and blink pattern adjustments are also pretty cool to play with. I definitely recommend these lights for anyone needing a variable length set. ... show more

These lights work great. I've ordered 2 sets of them. However, using them indoors be prepared for a high pitch whine from the plug. I've tried all 4 of the power adapters in my sets and all of them make a maddening whine although slightly different in pitch. If you can't hear high pitches these are probably great. Squeezing the housing makes the sound stop. I'd be willing to bet that it is the transformer inside of the plug emitting a frequency that I can't hear but that causes the housing to vibrate at a frequency that is audible. I tried wrapping the whole thing tightly in electrical tape but that didn't help much. This also messed up the remote connection. I'll be cutting mine apart and applying hot glue on the transformer to dampen the sound before I go insane listening to it. Edit - The whining noise is not caused by the transformer. It is caused by two large resistors that are not soldered snug to the board. gluing them down fixed the noise. However, it might get a little hotter now. ... show more
