I think my biggest pet peeve when drinking through a straw is having air leak through and it creates unnecessary burping/air in your gut. I replaced the lids thinking it was just a fluke, but the replacement did the same thing. It is leak proof when you tilt it and it works great for everything except drinking out of. The media could not be loaded. I really loved my Stanley cup but as Mom, ya know that your cup… is co-owned by your toddlers. The original lid with my Stanley spilled, leaked and constantly made a mess every time one of my littles got ahold of it, making me almost retire it until their coordination improved so we didn’t need to be covered in water every time one of them tilted it slightly off balance. Works fine, doesn’t leak. The reason for 3 stars is that the straw can only aim to either side of the handle, not forwards where you’d actually want it to be. I have tried twisting it on from many different starting points and it always ends up to the left or right. I should return it but the fact that it is leak proof is more important to me. ... show more
