These raised beds are super nice. The color is wonderful and they go together so easy with wing nuts instead of regular nuts. They are finished on both the top and the bottom edge, no rubber edging needed. I put them together 2 of them in about 40 minutes by myself.     • Great for a raised garden
These look very nice even in my front yard. I am able to plant a lot of plants in them. I layered them with cardboard, branches, straw and good dirt. If you sit on the edges even when they are full, you will bend the metal. They are a great price and hold everything in place.

Originally we bought (6) 12’x2’x1.5’ kits. We’ve built an enclosed garden a bit longer than 40’ and ran them down both sides. When we went to buy something else to fill the left over ~4’ at the end of both rows, nothing being sold seemed as good as these beds. Specifically the easy wing nut construction and the solid screw in bars that brace the sides every 4’. So we decided to simply buy one more kit for parts. Then we used the 4’ side sections to extend the last two 12’ kits, converting them to 16’ long beds. Worked a charm! Not part of the kit but we did lay down 1/2” hardware cloth beneath them to keep moles and vermin from digging under. I’ve begun filling them and they appear solid. I was worried about bowing out as some similar to these in a neighbor’s yard bow but ours didn’t bow at all when we added the soil and watered. I’m thinking theirs must be the kind with wires that hook together instead of the screw in bars that lock ours in place. We built the first one on the ground and it was hard on our old senior bodies. For the rest we set up two folding banquet tables with a little gap between so a 12’ bed would be supported and built them on the tables so we could stand the whole time. They’re so light it was simple to move them into the garden when we were done. One thing to remember is you don’t want to tighten each nut all the way as they need to have a little slip between panels as you are aligning things. Then go back and tighten afterwards. One thing that made all the difference in how they looked was taking the time to level each bed using gravel and a magnetic bullet level. 18” deep is deep enough that it’s unnecessary to remove sod below but that said the sod makes for an uneven base, especially over 12’. Be sure to keep the little parts boxes, they’re perfect for seed storage. Happy gardening! Ps. We’re so happy we went with the 18” tall beds. I was able to bring a lightweight patio chair right up to the front of the bed and be seated for the entire planting. 2’ wide is the perfect width for an arms reach and 18” is ideal for seated gardening. ... show more
