This pack works extremely well when working with CA finishes leaving your work looking like it was done by a professional!
  • When using the pads it is recommended that start at the lower grit of 1500 and step or cycle your way up to the high grit of 12000. The more you get into to woodturning the more the reality of being organized comes into play. This couldnt be more true than when it comes to our abrasives. This unique dispenser accepts 2 x 2 Micro-Mesh abrasive pads
  • Specifically designed for the Micro-Mesh 2 x 2 9 pack of abrasives, this dispenser has color coded grit chart to help keep your pads in order. This works wonderfully well when step sanding your finished turning project. Simply cycle your way through the grits by pulling the next grit from the dispenser and placing the used one back on top.
  • The dispenser is made from corrosion resistant galvanized steel which also makes it extra durable for the workshop environment. It can be mounted flat against a wall or it can be mounted to a table top. Of course you dont have to mount it at all.
  • The dispenser measures 6 tall, 314 wide (at base tabs), 2-7/16 wide (actual abrasive holder) by 112 deep. The colors on the grit chart and the colors of Micro-Mesh abrasives may vary slightly due to color shifts in the manufacturing process. Package comes with 9 color coded micro mesh pads and 1 each galvanized steel dispenser.

I just wanted to take the time to write this review because this product and company are actually deserving of real, legitimate praise! First off, I got these sanding pads to use for my guitar restoration work, specifically for sanding and polishing the frets. All the other nice sanding/polishing pads are either ludicrous expensive or complete garbage. When I came across these, I said to myself - “man, I sure hope these are for real.” Boy was I right! They’re the perfect size, thickness, flexibility, and seem super durable for my application. The holder is cool, but slightly gimmicky, as I found myself just laying them on my table in a rotation order. But, nonetheless, the holder is still a nice touch and holds them nicely. And it can be mounted anywhere, so I put it on the wall to reduce clutter on my workbench. I just gave them a small trial run as I had to re-wire one of my pickup grounds, and had to take the strings off to do so. I used the top 4 grits, and did the 3 frets I have pictured in less than 5 mins. Granted I was using my fret guard instead of tape to save time, but still I got a smoking slick shine with very little effort. The fret guard even got shiny! That’s never really happened, lol. I did my whole fretboard in about 20-30 mins! These little pads are the real deal! I sure hope my fellow diy, self made and professional luthiers come across this review and decide to give these a shot. I’m completely blown away at the quality and results! Now for the other part of my review, which is what drew me to write this. Peachtree Woodworking Supply Inc. is one of the last of its kind these days, in a giant ocean of companies, retailers, and distributors who are all just trying to push their product as fast as they can. This is not the case with Peachtree. They are ambassadors of the long lost and forgotten key element of business. Customer Service!!! I almost forgot what it felt like to be treated like a valued customer. Not only that but they actually cared about my experience. So, when I received this order from Amazon, there was a mishap in the packing of the items, as I had only received the galvanized holder, which I could have cared less about. Initially I thought, “great, now I’m going to have to return this and do it all over”, because most of the time on partial shipments, you are forced to return what you did receive, have it credited, then you might go and re-order whatever it was you wanted, or you might be over it. Definitely one of the many short-falls in the world of Amazon shipping mishaps. But then I saw a nice, well drawn, easy to understand instruction sheet from the manufacturer. And on that sheet was their customer service number and something along the lines of “please call us if you have any issues with your order”. I gave them a call, and within minutes they had access to my Amazon order, and didn’t even hesitate to do what it took to correct this mishap. Never did I feel as I had to prove myself or defend my case. It was just no questions asked, we apologize for the inconvenience, and we’ll get these out to you right away....for a moment I thought I was dreaming, then I remembered - oh ya! I was a customer receiving customer service!!! A few emails exchanged, and a few days later, I had my sanding pads, with no fiery hoops to jump through. I don’t do much woodwork, outside of my guitar work. But I will say this, I’m definitely going to remember Peachtree Woodworking for the rest of my life. And guess what, whenever I do come across the need for a specific woodworking tool, I’m not going to mindlessly look through the endless list on Amazon, trying to decipher which reviews are real and which are fake, and overpaying for whatever Chinese POS seemed the least likely to break after the first use. I’m going to Peachtree Woodworking Supply Inc. directly to confidently purchase whatever I might need and not really care about any cost comparison. Because that’s what real, thoughtful customer service does for a business. It makes that customer instantly loyal and most of the time, a strong promoter of that business. This is so sad that I am so overwhelmed with joy from something that used to be a standard in any successful business. I turn pens and these do a great job in finishing! Dry quickly, hold enough water to do what's needed. I can get a glass finish before the 12000 grit if I'm patient. LOVE THESE!!!

If you think the sanding pads are going to just slide out and dispense themselves one by one…think again. You will likely need to bend and adjust the dispenser arms to even get one out and then it is a pull. It is very sturdy and has 4 screw holes for mounting. Only two were necessary in my experience. Game changer for finishing off my bottle stoppers. Supper high gloss finish with 5-6 coats of CA base and sand thru each grit. No other wax or polish needed. Only thing to be careful of is if you are trying to use them on an irregular shaped surface. Tight curves and edges on some of my designs and if you dont pay attention and try to get into the crevices the edge of the pad will rub against the other surface and can transfer color to the piece. ... show more

The 2 inch by 2 inch Micro-Mesh Soft Touch Sanding Pads work wonderful. This photo showing the color of the pads & the color pattern on the side of the dispenser do not match. The Galvanized Steel Dispenser is a JOKE. I've tried making adjustments & that doesn't help. If you use the Galvanized Steel Dispenser & do any wet sanding you just may start saying your Sunday School Lesson's. ... show more

    • This is a great idea
When I purchased this I had my doubts on the usefulness of the holder, but I love it! I mounted right in front of my work station and can go though the sanding pads one by one replacing them as I use them so they stay in order. The sanding pads are excellent and give me a super smooth finish.

These are good single use pads then trash. The metal holder thing is a waist of time. I'd may use the pads again but I'll likely just keep to a high grain sandpaper.
