The blades of this gardening tool are extremely sharp and can easily be used as a weapon against encroaching weeds. That said, handle it with care, and when using it out in the yard and taking a break, make sure the tines are facing down and pushed into the soil. This tool arrived assembled, but loosely in a box wrapped in heavy duty plastic as shown in my photo. Given that the blades were covered securely in cardboard underneath the plastic, it worked to avoid mishaps. I’ll admit, I was a bit surprised at how unusual the packaging was, especially coming from Amazon. However, the product works just fine. My greatest stumbling block was finding a handle that would fit. The handle needed to be 1-1/4th inches thick. That eliminated most handles from my local hardware store that would be reasonably priced. I found a “tapered utility handle” that I made work. I cut off the tapered section and secured it to the base. The handle is 1.13 inches wide, so I filled in the gap with a couple of shims before screwing it into place. To buy a handle that would actually fit would require a hardwood shovel handle that would set me back about twenty-five dollars—more than the price of the tool. Not only would it add a lot of extra weight, but it would be overkill. This 2-in-1 Iron Rake is definitely a “keeper” in my arsenal of outdoor tools, and I recommend to other gardeners who are willing to find a handle that works.

I've had gardens for years and am always looking for good weeding tools. The Semifrut 2 in 1 Iron Rake 2.0 offered through Amazon Vine wasn't quite like anything else I've used before so I ordered a review unit. Out of the box, I was impressed but the rake's sturdy build quality and the sharpness of its cutting edges. Even though no handle was included, it still seems like a good value for its cost. After attaching a handle, I found the rake fairly easy to use, especially in loose soil and bedding. While it also worked well in denser and dryer soil, the rake's design basically cuts through the weed's base and leaves the top of the soil clean but leaves the roots largely intact. In the case of perennial weeds, most are likely to grow back. Overall, I found the Semifrut 2 in 1 Iron Rake 2.0 to be a solid, sturdy weeding tool that works especially well in loose soil and bedding.

I think this works decently for loosening dirt to take weeds out of the ground in wide areas, where other grass or plants would not be dusturbed, as it is wide. This is what I have used it for so far. It is good quality. The welds seem good. It looks like the tines might be able to be replaced one at a time, but have not taken out any of the bolts to see if they are individual tines or if it's all one piece. The handle length is good if you are crouching to use it. You would have to add your own long stick to the handle if you want to use it standing up. It does have a screw/bolt hole for securing a stick in the handle. It's easy enough to use. It is EXTREMELY sharp and caution should be used in handling. I would advise cut resistant gloves. I did cut my hand in 2 places, being careless in handling when I first opened it.

This works okay. I’m not super impressed by it not because of the quality but I think because of the design. I have Bermuda grass that loves to try and grow into my flower beds so I got this to help cleaning them out and up keep. I feel like the teeth have too much space so it misses stuff. It’s made very sturdy and easy to use. Good weight. Not sure I would recommend.

My first impression was that this is a sharp item and be careful! It is solidly made. I saw other reviews saying it doesn’t come with a handle and I mean, it says that in the title. I also received this for free through Vine but I knew what I was getting and I am actually pleased it has no handle. I have been using this to dig up roots in my large vegetable gardens and the never ending Bermuda grass that finds its way into everything. I wouldn’t be able to do that with a long wooden handle, at least not with as much control as I can the way it is. It cuts deep and pulls up offending weeds and I love that! I also have a long cultivator with a steel pole so I know how much more convenient this one is for my needs. I have smaller bladed tools that cut stuff but this rips them right out. If this is similar to your needs, I would recommend it!

This Iron rake is very sharp, well-made and sturdy. It is a good size without being too big so that it is manageable and easier to maneuver. I was even using it before I got a handle to attach it to. It really helps pull out those weeds and roots!

This thing is heavy duty. I still need to buy a handle for it but it has some weight and is VERY sharp. Im a professional small scale market gardener and have used some of the best hand weeding tools. I had step back from selling for a few years, and so my garden wasnt planted as much and weeds took over more than I wanted and I needed a tool that could get larger weeds. Im hoping this is it. I have a crab grass issue and I think they may help to yank them before they spread. Normal cutting tools dont work well for that. I will update after using it properly, but so far as the quality goes, its very well made and I think it will last with proper care.
