I bought this music mat for my twins (3 yrs old). Even though this mat is considered a mini there was plenty of space for both of them to play at the same time, which for me is a MUST! This musical pad feels pretty sturdy and has quite a few musical instruments for kids to enjoy. So many toys that have sound, are too loud in my opinion, and can really ware on adult’s nerves when children use the toy for even a small amount of time. What I liked about this is you can lower or raise the volume one notch and even at its highest it isn’t too high pitched. I wanted to test it out before gifting because there’s nothing worse than gifting something that is broken or doesn’t work properly. Glad I did because it needs batteries that aren’t included, so I added those to the gift before wrapping. The mat is not too large and it’s nice that two kids can play at once. The drum sticks seem sturdy which is good because you know they’re going to get chewed on. The music it makes isn’t tinny or annoying as some of these toys can be.
