This convertible bike/trike was ordered for my 19mo. I had a feeling it was a smidge advanced for him, but took a chance. While he still plays with it, the reality is the tricycle setup with pedals are beyond his ability at this point. However, he can use it without the pedals just fine. Additionally, my 4yo and 5yo like to play with it as well. They are not too old to ride it. It arrived requiring assembly, however, I didn’t assemble it myself and can’t give an opinion from personal experience. Although, my 15yo DID assemble this all on her own without any assistance. Using that as a guide, this toy is easy to assemble. I handed the box over to her and said “go for it”. Within a short time, it was done. Overall, this is a great starter bike/trike for an older toddler or pre-k aged child. I am happy with this product and my kids love playing with it. Definitely recommend.
