    • Works Great on my Interstate Marine Cranking Battery
I was looking for a charger that could simply charge and maintain a Marine Interstate Cranking Flooded Battery. I came across this and so far has been working wonders for me. I hadn't topped off my battery for my boat in 2 or 3 boating seasons outside of the traditional outing on the lake every now and then. I ran a Multimeter to my battery and saw it was getting lower in voltage year after year so decided to give it a helping hand to avoid having to buy another battery. This charger has a few charging options depending on the battery type and can charge 2 different types of batteries at once. Simple and easy to use. Comes with traditional clamps to charge or ring terminals to bolt them directly to the battery for a more secure connection. Also has voltage over protection and will prevent charging if the clamps are placed incorrectly or in the wrong location, however should always monitor your voltage externally with a multimeter to prevent overcharge. I am not sure if this unit is particularly tuned to auto shut off at a certain voltage outside it's cut off of 15v. Does get a little warm so would recommend charging in a ventilated area, not a hot garage in the summer as there is no self cooling internally. Will shut off though if it does get too warm, something you probably don't want to test too often to prevent damage to the charger. So far, this works like a charm. Love that I can charge 2 at once if I ever needed to and super simple to use. Would definitely recommend this, especially if you are looking to charge various types of 12v batteries. ... show more

We have an older 2-bank charger for the lead-acid trolling motor batteries on our pontoon. We plan on upgrading to lithium batteries, and this charger will allow us to do that in the future. The size is smaller than our old charger, so it is easy to fit in a small compartment with the batteries. It mounts with 4 stainless wood or machine screws depending on your installation. A unique feature is the connector/plug for the battery leads. Included are leads with ring-tongue terminals that can be bolted direct to the battery, yet allow the charger to be disconnected if you don't want to permanently install the charger in the boat or vehicle. Also included are a set of clamp-on leads that allow the charger to be portable, and hooked up and removed quickly from any battery. This makes the charger much more versatile than competitive chargers that only have permanent mount ring-tongue terminals. Out of the box, we plugged it into 120v power and chose the sealed lead-acid battery mode for both channels, and clamped the leads to our batteries. The charger topped them off within a few hours. The charger remembers the last battery type selected when it is unplugged and plugged back in. Overall this is a very nice small, waterproof charger at a reasonable price. PROS: - Completely sealed IP68 weatherproof rating - Compact size - Works with a variety of battery chemistries - Battery leads have 2-pin plugs for disconnecting the charger - Includes ring-tongue and clamp on battery leads - Inexpensive CONS: - Low amperage output - not a quick charger... so it takes longer to charge a deeply discharged battery ... show more

    • Pretty impressive for the price
This charger is built solid and sealed up nice. I tested it with my lifep04 and lead acid batteries and it charged them right up without issue. I think this charger is punching above is weight class and trying to compete with more established "higher end" brands. Putting it side by side with my Noco charger (which costs about 50% more) there are only two things that stand out to me. - The Noco has nicer heavier duty battery connectors. Not to say the battery connectors that come with this charger are cheap, they just are just the typical two pin connectors that come with battery/trickle chargers. - The buttons and display LEDs aren't quite as polished and solid feeling Time will tell how long this charger lasts but initial impressions tell me I wont be disappointed. If its worth a 50 dollar premium to you for a slightly more polished look and better connectors this isn't the charger for you. If you want a solid 2 battery charger for 100 bucks that will likely outlast the batteries this is a great value. ... show more

This an all around great charger. Definitely more of a maintainer than a quick charger. It has multiple battery types that it supports that must be manually selected at start of charge. It also has a "force mode" for deeply discharged batteries as well as a repair mode. The force mode can be manually turned on but unfortunately there is no way to engage repair mode manually. It says it is automatic but tried over 20 batteries that were sulfated to various extents and I could not get it to turn on. It would just give me the "failed" indicator. It worked well on the good condition batteries that I had including lead acid and lifepo4. Only other thing that I would like to see improved on is the wire gauge of the charger leads. It is ample to do the deed it just seems a bit flimsy for a device that will get a bit of handling. It does also come with 2 sets of ring terminal leads and 2 sets of clamp leads. Over all a very good maintainer for almost any battery. ... show more
