The media could not be loaded. Imagine you trusting a safe box to be water proof to keep important documents in it, and the safe not being waterproof at all and your documents getting damaged in case there’s a water accident. This is the scenario that I imagine after seeing two holes on the back and bottom of the safe. I used duct tape on the bottom holes and I will use the same on the back. If I am to screw the safe to the floor I would use silicone to seal around the screws. This will only solve part of the issue, and that is the door. This door doesn’t seal the safe when closed, this being the other issue with the safe not being waterproof. Personally, while the safe seems to be strong, and maybe fireproof, as long as no fire particle comes in through any of the holes mentioned before, just because I was expecting a waterproof case, and it is not, I cannot give more than one stars. ... show more

This is suitable for someone who is trying to keep things safe from children or moderately snoopy friends/family/acquaintances. If you bolt it down it’s probably suitable to deter opportunistic thieves, though given its size it may just draw attention to the goods. Sometimes a small safe concealed somewhere inconspicuous is best for high value items. It is probably unsuitable for anything worth >$10000, or if you live in an area where you’re highly likely to have career criminals breaking in to your home. It is not waterproof. It has no insulation so while it may not catch fire it will likely get hot enough to combust/ruin documents stored within. I believe a sledge hammer and crow bar would make easy work of this safe. I also believe an amateur locksmith could open it quite easily. ... show more

This was a nice upgrade from our little fire safety box. It's also about 40% larger than I expected, and about 50% lighter. My first thought was that somebody would just pick it up and run, but I have a good spot for it so I'm not worried, and I can tell it would be a pain in the butt for someone to cut through. (Not that we have anything too valuable to worry about.) Using the keys and pin pad are easy, as was setting up my new password. This should be a really good place for our titles, certificates, and emergency cash. It's big enough to stash a few handguns in it too, and it makes me feel like I should go get one now, but that's not really my scene. I'm not using it on a ground floor, so I'm not really worried about it flooding, but there are holes in it for screwing it into a wall, so water *could* get in there, technically. For fire, hopefully I never find out! I'll update it any problems are noticed... ... show more
