Very nice kit! The only complaint is that the pipes and bends are DRENCHED in oil inside the box. It’s there for rust prevention… but it was excessive. I built a single exhaust pipe from the manifold to the rear bumper on a 1954 Chevy 210 2 door. I used nearly every inch of this kit. In the end I had a fraction of a bend and roughly 10” of straight tubing left. The muffler I used was 25” total length. If you have a long wheelbase vehicle there may not be enough tubing in the kit to reach the rear of the vehicle. If you’re building a dual exhaust kit, it’s very unlikely the kit would even reach the rear axle unless you use long mufflers. The exhaust pipe I built was a few inches shy of 13’ from manifold to the rear bumper. Again… using a muffler with a 25” overall length. Overall very nice. Welded up cleanly. ... show more

Bought this kit about 3 years ago and still holding up great. Used this kit to build a exhaust for a ls swapped k1500. Had everything i need to run from the headers to a y pipe beside the transmission. Easy to weld without burning thru. Honestly bought it for a temporary exhaust until I could make it to a shop but ended up keeping it and adding more pipe/muffler out the back. Truck has seen mud and still looks good. ... show more

Broke my mig gun moments before I planned on welding this up All i had was 6013 stick rods Even on 53 amps it was sticking bad but still blowing holes everywhere Dont do like me, wait on a new mig gun lol. Good price for what you get, solid kit overall.

I am comparing this to a kit that’s similar on summit racing that was $170 and holy is it worth the money. It’s true 16ga. All the measurements listed were accurate and the O.D. Is within 1/64th. The only complaint I have is the expanded portion is very inconsistent. One of the 47” sections was right on the money but the pre bent sections were over expanded about a 1/16th so the joints are a little sloppy if you end up using clamps. This would be a perfect kit for welding. Have not installed yet but I am already pleased with how it looks ... show more

Box is a bit heavy, mild steel is extremely easy to weld even for beginners. If you're doing you're own exhaust having everything handy is a huge help and some extras just in case. No clamps come with it just the pipe. You pretty much have to fit it yourself.

I have bought 2 of this set of pipes- plenty of bends to be able to customize my exhaust. I’m welding it together with .030 flux core wire- no real problems with them as long as you move the heat around.

Well worth the money but please read this review. To start, the pipe wall thickness is 1/16 of an inch, manderal bends are flawless. Unfortunately they are coated in oil (rust prevention) so they are a bit messy, wish they selected something different. Well packed and recieved a week earlier than expected. I have read the reviews and see a lot of complaints about rust. This is caused by not understanding what you are purchasing. This set is mild steel and not coated, so yes it will rust almost immediately after removing the oil. If you want rust free, purchase aluminized or stainless. I intend to build my exhaust and have it ceramic coated and truck will not see much rain thus my choice in pipe type. Just giving my onion, take it for what you wish. My pipe kit was DAC272, made in China (unfortunately), this kit has 3 inch id pipes and the slip joints are perfect, I will be cutting those off for my application. I recieved 2, 4 ft straight pipes. 2, u-bends roughly 6-1/2 inside and 12-1/2 to the outside of the "u". 2, 45° bends and 2, 90° bends. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.
